Hi all, thanks so much for the wonderful response. All 20 numbers of intercooler has been taken up. This group buy is finished for now. I will email all buyers payment details by this Sunday latest.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If anyone is still interested in the FMIC, but your name is not in the thread, please feel free to drop me a PM. If there're strong demand of 20 numbers of the cooler, I will organise another one at the same price.

If there are a minimum of 15 interested parties willing to partake in the next purchase, I will post up the details.

Hi guys, to calculate the postage cost, please go to http://www1.auspost.com.au/pac/ and key in the following details.

Length - 82cm

Height - 11.5cm

Width - 31.5

Weight is between 9001g to 10,000g

Lodgement Postcode is 6108 (Perth, WA)

3-5 working days

The website should be able to give you the pricing for the delivery. However it does not include insurance which is an extra couple of dollars. Do a search on the AusPost website to see how much it cost. Last time I saw it, it was around AU$1.10 per $100 bucks.

An example of delivery to Melbourne would be $27 inclusive of insurance (Postcode of 3190).

Group buy for the FMIC has ended. Thank you everyone for the tremendous support.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To those who has not provided me with their email address, please kindly email me with your email address as soon as possible so that I can provide buyers with the payment details.

Best Regards,

Benny

There are considerable amount of interests from other forums regarding the FMIC, so if interested parties who are willing to confirm fast enough with ready payment, I can still squeeze another group buy of the coolers and the coolers will expect to arrive end of Jan 2005.

But there must be at least 15 numbers of interested buyers to form the group buy.

Best Regards,

Benny

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
