Hmmm.... well the RE5040's on the front and RE55S on the back seems to be a good mix atm, weren't too bad in the wet/damp in the hills tonight, the 104km/h dinger is freiking annoying and the car definitely still has the speed limiter, though it seems to be off the clock when it hits it, was somewhere near 6000 in 4th?  Not sure, wasn't really paying much attention to the dials

Yeah thats bout where the 180 limiter is Adam, round the 6000rpm mark in 4th gear...100km/h dinger?? I don't have that option THANK****!

Anyone using 4piston calipers and have rims that fit? Its a nightmare of mine.I had to fit longer studs, fit spacers and then i can only use a 6.5" rim with a 205 tyre on the front to keep the tyre off the strut.sad me.

A bit late I know, but I presently have 16 x 7's +38 Mirage 5 spokes up front and they will fit fine with a 1 inch spacer to clear the 4 spot caliper.

Best spacer is bolt onto the hub, and has it's own standard studs to mount to, they are also the only type CAMS will approve for hillclimbs & supersprints.

I also have a set of BSS Lorinser rims (ex Mercedes) modified to 4 stud and they are 3 piece rims and I am getting new inner rims made up to widen them in an inch, so that I will then have 16 x 8's all round.

Cheers,

Dennis

    • Haha no I'll do that one tomorrow. I've been ignoring it. It's the 5.0 one I'm taking about. (There is a little X to hide the 4.7 one if you want)
    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
