Mate, if you don't want more than 250rwkw I'd go the walboro.

Something I don't really like about them is they're smaller than the stock pump??

This is what other people have said though- don't take my word on that as I've never see one in the flesh. This might not mean anything though as walboro'd have to be newer technology than the stock ten year old skyline pumps.

I'm going the bosch though - extra 150 bucks but gives more headroom for future mods.

If you want to know the flow rates on bosch pumps just do a bosch 044 search.

There's a few posts there that show the flow rates of all the bosch pumps.

Of the top of my head the 044 is good for 730 hp

Cheers!

I can get them for $300 as single or group buy.

The Bosch 040 is rated to 400hp and will flow 195 litres per hour

The 044 is rated to 600hp and will flow around 250 litres per hour which is like 4 litres per minute.

The 040 I can get cheaper than the 044 obviously.

I have heard of the 044 supplying 700 hp

If anyone wants them, they have to come from Melbourne so they take three days. I will pick them all up on the same day or if you want to buy away from the group...PM me.

I don't have enough in my piggy bank to buy all of them so an arrangement will have to be made. I don't mind if you come with me to pick them up. I am honest :P

Cudbee has purchased things from me before. However you guys wanna organise it and whichever way suits everyone. But I will only be paying cash for them unless you trust me with your card and PIN. Which I doubt. Coz I don't have a machine. Please understand.

Anyway, that's the end of the story.

Put me down for an 044. So how many people do we have now?

Not too many yet!

Me: 1

Del Sol :1

R33 Steve: Maybe two

Col Gtsx:Maybe three

Paragon: Interested

Strutto:Semi interested

GR33dy: Interested

Might be because x-mas is just around the corner!

Anyway - I'm willing to pay the $310 for the 044.

Just give us a date!

Cheers!

That's the thing...you guys organise between yourselves what date you want and money and all that stuff.

I will have to point a couple of things out.

Even though I am an honest person.....I have never done a large buy like this before and am not sure I feel comfortable with all that trust on my shoulders.

I need to know if you want an 044 or an 040.

Is there a mediator that might be able to hold the money until delivery.

Maybe Nismogirl would be a good candidate...sorry if you're reading this Erin as I am 2 seconds from asking you.

The 044's are $300 each

and don't quote me on this but the 040 I can get for $250...maybe cheaper. It will depend on demand for them as to whether I get a price for them or not.

Please give me a fair indication how many people are ACTUALLY interested as I will need an approximate figure to tell Erin.

That's all for now.

Ok, Paragon and Del sol, are you in Brisbane or relatively close by?

If so, location please. Suburb or whatever.

And a contact number.

Looks like the 20th will be the date as GTST25 will be receiving his on this date.

I am going to have to organise a location to meet Paragon and Del sol before this date or on this date. (I'm not even sure what day it is yet). Doesn't really matter. I can pick them up on any day. All pumps don't have to be picked up on the same date if it is not convenient for you. But close to it would be preferable.

One last note...please don't stuff me around. If you have said DEFINATE in your post then I will be ordering on the fact that you definately want one. I don't want to have to fork out money because someone pulls out at the last second. Coz I will be most upset about having another one.

These will be DEFINATELY Bosch 044 pumps in their box sealed and everything.

From my experience though, you may have to go to the hardware to get a 5mm and a 6mm nut for the terminals as Bosch in their infinite wisdom, don't supply them for their own pumps.

So far I have GTST25, Del Sol and Paragon.

At $300 a pump I would have thought people would be clawing at each other to get them. Obviously not.

Quickly people..20th approaches fast. I will be ordering them on the 15th so any stragglers can come in before then.

Don't worry everyone. You can still get one after this date...it'll just be $350

(which is still friggin cheap I might add)

Plus I can still get the 040's pretty cheaply too if you can't afford the 044.

Hey,

I live on the sunshine coast so driving to Brisbane isn't an option at the moment.

I am a definite on the 044 pump though, I need it for my GTR.

Here are my postal details, if you want and have the time you can do a cash on delivery at any post office.

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
