Hitman is an awesome tuner!! He tuned my car as well, and he did an excellent job!! I did both a road tune, and a dyno tuner to touch it up! He charged a very reasonable price :D

He is on the forums.. nick is Hitman!! I don't think he browses the site very often though... not sure if he'd respond to PMs either... probably would? His number is 0417 259 391 if you'd like to give him a call ;)

I had a slight increase in fuel ecomony, but my driving style changes from day to day... lol!  it depends on how much i'm boosting per tank! :)  as for smoother response.. i got 12.9secs worth of smooth response! :)

HEYA, thats alright, and what mods are you running other than the PFC?

Power FC in my GTR was installed and tuned by C&V by the previous owner it seems not to bad of a tune but I'm not pulling very good mph at the drags for the power I have compared to other GTR's.

Price from CRD was $1200 that's including adjusting cam gears and dyno tuning time . Bel wants $350 for a road tune and it take's them a couple of hours . I've heard good stories about both shops but I've also heard a few bad stories as well so I'm not sure who to go to yet . I soppose can't go wrong with either .

SAS across the road from from CRD and near Advan is soppose to be very good also for tuning the power fc's .

should also mention unigroup who are good with Power FC's also and have installed and tuned a fair few and I've spoken to alot of people who are happy with them . Only thing is they need to use a hand controller cause they don't have the proper software like the other's.

My car was originally tuned at C&V when I bought it and the tune was OK.

Then I had it tuned by the hitman who cleaned the tune up a bit. good bang for your buck at around $300

The the PFC was tubed by CRD when the injectors and FPR were installed and the car ran even better, Highly recommend, and Jim was very helpful. Lance not so helpful you do pay for it though, It costs around $600-$700.

Spoke to one of the people that own Bel Garage today. They charge a pretty reasonable fee, and its not something thats through the roof.

What they said to me was that if you have a bigger turbo, injectors etc, then it usually cost more cause they have to configure more obviously.

Other than that, got to go make some inquiries to the so called "HITMAN" ? However just have to wait for my exhaust system to be complete before going ahead with my tune :P

Cant wait!

How long did they spend on it.. 9-5 2 days straight? I know where they (CRD) could stick $1,200.

My car hasnt been tuned by them yet but yes they did quote $1200 for tuning and adjusting cam gears. Lance said they needed the car for the day but I doubt they would be working on it all day. The tune really only needs a clean up and they would have a fair idea of what cam setting's actually work by now so yeh they are very $$ compared to the rest .

Exactly, they (and other shops) work on these similar cars everyday and know pretty much straight away what direction they should be heading in, it's not like it would be 100% guess work for every single car (even though engine to engine would vary in the same model cars) but not enough to require $1,200 worth of "labour".

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
