.75 degrees sideways
oh sorry mate, I didn't realise there was more than one Rezz. I was asking you for help mate, your the super moderator in Japan right? Btw, I found a cheaper hr31 gts-x for only 10,000 yen which finishes tomorrow night. I have the cash, and what i'm looking to do is get the person who ships it a bonus for picking up the car and delivering the cash, then shipping it or.... arrange for the seller to drop it off, one of the two. But i'm so serious about this, I really want it So if you can help it would be greatly appreciated, if you want money that's fine Regards Andrew Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/61384-rezz/#findComment-1160489 Share on other sites
C110GTR
I think you'll find it easier to go with an Importer ... I was thinking doing the same but its not just buying the car there's more to it than just buying a car. You have paperwork to deal with then you need a contact or reliable person to organise the car to be delivered and then get sent to shipping port, then more paperwork plus and organise it when the car lands on OZ land, then compliance which should be easy as it will be under the 15yr rule and you can do it yourself... But if you have experience importing a car before then go for it I might even ask you to do mine LOL Good luck anyway Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/61384-rezz/#findComment-1160613 Share on other sites

But I didn't want to have to spend $1k on an importer to do all the paper work I know there will be import duties, GST (10% of purchased item is 10,000yen is about $13aus.) and government stamp duty on top of the shipping prices. Do you know a rough cost to get from Jap to Bris/aus? Is there anything more i need to know about importing? They might deal direct with public, or they might refer you to a local agent who can do the shipping booking and customs, deregistration etc for you. I spoke to the guys here if they could do it for you for a lower rate or something because they're not actively searching for a car for you or getting a mechanic check or anything, they said they'll have to see what would be involved before they can give any quotes, so I'll let you know.
