I have 2 sets of height adjustable coilovers, one set is JIC Magic and the other set is Tein HR.

I was wondering which set you guys think is better.

The Teins have pillowball tops on all four but the JICs have only pillowball tops on the front two. But i like the JICs because when you adjust them lower the hole coilover gets shorter where as the springs only lower when you wind the Teins down. When you jack up the car taking the weight off with the teins on the springs get loose. Those of you that have tein suspension in your car will know what im talking about.

Anyways let me know which set you think is better.

I wouldnt mind selling both of them and buying a set of Height and Damper Adjustable Coilovers..

If anyone has some height and damper adjustables and would like to swap for 2 sets of height adjustables let me know..

Sell em both and grab some HD systems height, stroke and damping adjustables with pillow ball tops from Unique Auto Sports in Sydney. Tell John that Geoff referred you. I'm very happy with mine and look forward to the next track event.

I have the teins on the car so i need a set to be able to take the teins off ..

I want to sell them both so i can get a set of height and damper adjustable coilovers, because both sets that i have are only height adjustable..

Im not sure what there worth, secondhand sets of height adjustable coilovers usualy sell for around $800 a set

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
