hey..wassup.

we're actually thinking of a meet and greet this Sunday arvo...feel free to come up and join us....just a get together pretty much and yeah...talk about stuff.

so say 4pm at Alex hill and we can go cruizin from there together with other fellow skyliners.

see u then.

turn off the mooloolaba exit off the bruce hway then follow it into mooloolaba then when u get to the main esplanade you will come to a set of lights. keep going striaght up the hill and over it, then u will be on alexandra headlands hill. there should be heaps of cars out anyway, just look for sumthing that looks like a cruiser and follow it. hope this helps

oh well, thats kool, i know that its a hike to go anywhere, i would have probably have done the same, but yeah guys looks like it should be a fine day, my cars all washed and ready to go, so il see you guys out at 4pm then. il be out earlier anyway, wave if you see me red emblem so i know who u are, ok. then we can pull up and have a chat while were waiting for roger to come from work. il see ya then guys. looking forward to it.

I was down mooloolaba cutting a few laps this afternoon. I dont have my skyline anymore (due to kangaroo incident) but i was cruisin in my subaru liberty. Anyone spot me? It's dark green with gold mags.

Let me know cuz i saw a few skylines out

Cya

and how's the poor kangaroo ? LOL...kiddin.

saw a few subaru's...dunno which one..come say Hi next time..doesn't matter what u drive.

hey darren...yeah that was cool...i think i sort of burnt my clutch when i saw you at that lights..reved to much..LOL.

hey andrew...nice clean ride you got there.

yeah blinkstar i swear i saw you, is it a sedan?? with like gold rally style rims on it. if it was i saw you near the rd that comes through from the wharf to the lights. ROGER---- your car sounds tough as, i wana get m,y front pipe now! its too quiet or im just getting used to it. i want it to runble when i get up it. give that RB sound a work out! did u see that red sprinter i was cruzing with??? well thats my mates he used to live up here but he has movd to the goldy now, anyway its got a 4agze turbo motor in it runnin a micro tech computa. need a good tune, but it should go hard, hes been having problems with it over fueling heaps and he could never get it runnin rite, turns out that it was a return fuel line was blocked. it goes much better now, even without the tune.

yeah...didn't he tried race that white commodore ? was pretty good site though.. was pretty quick.

i have a 3' dump pipe/front pipe in one..much cheaper than the other setup...but apparently a split dump pipe is better...i was gonna get that one in stainless steel but money wise i ended up getting the in one pipe without the wastegate separator...but turbo spools up better with my current setup..it gets boost earlier too which is sweet.

well..Manifold is up this week...i just need my external wastegate and power FC and the big turbo is going in...HOPEFULLY...depends on budget...LOL.

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
