hey guys,

received calls this morning from dave who made the treck down here with his blue sil80 to compete in this weekends drift nats finals... unfortunately between the hours of 12AM AND 7AM this morning - his car was stolen from glenelg area

spreading the word as quickly as possible to try and relocate the car and give dave a 2nd chance at hopefully slipping into qualifying this evening... if not just getting his car back before everyone drives back to melbourne!

Medium blueish sil80 with black roof... rare J's (square non projector) headlights... silviaspare.com.au stickers on both rear quarters... Victorian plates and registration sticker

anyone has any details what so ever give dave a call on 0414670725

any help is much appreciated guys... spread the word so heads can roll and dave can slide again!

Guys the reward for information leading to the retrieval of this vehicle is over $2,000....so if u see anything lookin like this car or any parts being sold that look like they may have come from this car please let us know.

Other things about the car..

*The grill is missing and u can see the blue oil cooler through it

*The passenger skirts is damaged and is held on partly by tape, so it flutters alot witht he wind

*There is a dint with some paint missing on the passenger door, near where it meets the front quarter panel, as it was hit by a clublock

*as in the pics the muffler tip is very long, very distinct. If u see any exhaust resemblingthis for sale let us know asap

*Parts of the console and vents etc are painted cusco blue

Please contact us if u see or hear anything....pass the word on

2g's could be yours.....................

I just spoke with Dave - I thought I'd found his Sil80 on Port Wakefield road - but it wasn't the one :( - VERY similar though.

He mentioned a few unique items from the car, in case anyone get offered parts for sale:

- AAR leather drivers seat (he's never seen another one before in Australia)

- dished Sparco steering wheel

- cutom intercooler piping with tons of small pieces welded together Jap drift style

- a Defi boost gauge

- 18" rear mags, 16" silver front mags.

Keep your eyes and ears open for this stuff (or hopefully the car) to turn up!!

No so to top this off Dave is left in debt

Andrew have you met him before or is this the first time?

Dave and Sean stay at my place last time they were down for an event

Dave is a nicest guy, the kinda thing you would wish nothing on!

nah mate, haven't met Dave, but he sounded like a cool guy on the phone .....

damn I hope they find the car in one piece - in fact I hope one of us spots it, follows it to a locale, call in some SAU backup, and go to work on the bloody thieves!

I am going to get one of the Viper paging alarms for sale on the trading section, since so many cars have gone missing around the place lately. I have a good alarm and immobilisers already, but it would be nice to thave a vibrating pager in your pocket for when you are at the shops or someone else's house etc ....

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
