Bass Junky
Hey ppls. I want the boost to hit a bit harder now. I have the PowerFC in and tuned, but I want the wastegate closed longer to allow faster spool. I'm not sure if this can be done with the Boost control kit... Does anybody know if you can, and how?? PS. I have an RB20 actuator..... All help appreciated. BASS OUT Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/65952-powerfc-boost-control-question/ Share on other sites

Only the duty cycle will change the boost trend, and will only soften the natural ramp speed... you cannot do more than keep the waste gate shut until required boost is reached. Hope this makes sense (Big night in Pattaya Bars makes brain hurt) Good Luck TT Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/65952-powerfc-boost-control-question/#findComment-1230951 Share on other sites
Bass Junky
"you cannot do more than keep the waste gate shut until required boost is reached." That's exactly what I want to do. What setting do I modify to do it? I don't want it to overshoot. Your best bet is to re-spring your waste gate actuator, with a stronger spring, to stop it opening so easy, allowing it to spool for longer. As the stock Rb20 Is around 7 - 10psi with stock spring, from memory... bumping it up to 12 - 14 will help.
