Hey, I was just wondering If the Power FC RB20DET Maps are the same for the A31 Cefiro as it is for a R32???? We are wanting to load the map in then just modify it to suit mine!

The reason I am wanting to know is because my tuner has a map for a A31 (my mates car) which has almost exacilly the same mods as my R32!!! Only main difference is the Cefiro has CAMS and Z32 AFM!

Were unsure of his injectors and fuel pump! Obviously Upgraded though!!!

My car has walbro Fuel pump and RX7 Injectors 460cc! (other mods are included in signature below)

Thanks

Luke

I cant see them being that different (prob about the same as the base map thats on the PFC to start with), but wouldnt you want a tune for YOUR car anyway???

Really, I dont think your going to be gaining anything by using another map. (assuming your trying to save dynotime)

the rb20det in the a31 is different to the one in the r32 in terms of mapping, afm and a few bits like cas, but if your changing afm to power fc the car its not really going to matter anyhow... why not just use the base map and go from there, and tune it to suit YOUR car, not someone elses?

Hey thanks for the replys!

We were going to put the other map in so that it was close to the mark, then customise it for my car, Im 4 hours drive away from the tuner that i want to go to (ice performance - melbourne) but there is a guy here how knows quite alot about jap cars (he tuned a 600hp GTR with power FC etc...) I really just want it tuned close to the mark so that i can then drive it to melbourne to get tuned! because at the moment its running too lean and melting spark plugs

Id just let the local guy tune it hey. If he doesnt do a good job (go by how your mates car is, and the others blokes GTR) then go for your drive. But hell, even if you let him tune the car for an extra 2hours it would be cheaper than the drive correct?

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
