Hey Boys,

I have bought an R32 GTSt Sedan a couple of weeks ago from the mainland, and i'm currently waiting to get it complied.

I've been trying to think where would be a good place to go for a cruise to get used to the way she handles and that sort of thing.

Where does everyone like to go cruising? Keeping in mind that i live in hobart.

Who are you kidding biatch, the only way you will know how that thing handles is when you hand the key's over too me for a lash :headspin:

I'll tell ya some good spots man offline and then i'll hook ya up out at the track so you can take it for a lash at basky if ya want :)

Well GrandmasterB, i think the closest you'll get to driving my car, is if i've died and you had to drive me to the morgue. :)

I'm sure we can work something out though. (with locations that is)

I'd be interested in a cruise with ya tim. few hours at basky would be good also as I havn't been out there yet.

Yeah man, we'll have to go for a cruise when i get it on the road JaFF. I'm praying that the seat belts come in today, so i can get the car to Griffo and get it complianced. Then i'll be a happy boy.

It's no good having it sitting there in that garage and not being able to drive it. :P

The Huon Highway isn't a bad stretch of road when it's not soaking wet... Hey mate I have a R32 sedan also, its a GTS-4 tho so will handle quite a bit different to yours. Would be nice to compare them.

Dude we may have to get together one day and have a look over them. See what we can see.

I'm sure a cruise day will have to be organised soon for all us skyline boys. Maybe a BBQ somewhere.

Well this 'big girl' could kick your arse any day :kick: . And just might have to do so.

Plus it's looking like that comp of yours might have to fix it's self.

What car you going to take to the track???

Well just for the record, my house is increasing in value and i doubt the car is....

So when are you going to get a car that is actually yours?? Always a bridesmaid never a bride.

Like i said, drive it like you stole it dude. And after the shiat fight with the last one i built i think i'll just get the van and pimp that out for now??? Nothing over the top, maybe just a mid mounting 454 big block with a blower :flamed:

You shouldn't make fun of bloke like that anyway dude, you could give a guy a complex or something :headspin:

grasstree hill is a great drive...lots of twistes and the road condition is good

Bwahahahahaha i can't believe i heard grass tree and good road condition in the same sentence. Obviously never been over it on a bike hey Timbo, one small lack of concentration and it will :kick: straight in the nuts. You want twisty's thats always satisfiying go and buy the chips, you want a stretch of road that is like drving at the track then let me know :)

thats why I said good condition...good isn't excellent...there are better roads but grasstree is still a great hill for *Edited by Slaz*

Don't see your point here....One small lack of concentration in a car and you will be ****ed but thats what makes it fun...if you can't concentrate when you drive then catch a bus

If you think grasstress is bad then take a drive up to colebrook one day...great winding road but its bump steer city

**Please don't make references to illegal street activites (ie. drifting). Please read forum rules and thread in Tas section by me: "All Tasmanian posters please read". Thanks, Slaz**

    • Yes, well, keep in mind that the air is intake air, which equal boost + possible oil. If there is a fine deposition of oil/scunge that then gets hot and carbonises, it could look just like that. Probably shouldn't be leaking. Might just be normal for that product. Hard to know if it is relevant.
    • Wrapped up putting the motor back in today. I have a stainless flex turbo drain pipe like you see on cummins and that funny enough PRP started selling. I generally prefer these but sadly they come with a finite amount of times they can be bent before they snap. Took well over a week for a replacement to arrive.  I was able to prime the pump but I will more then likely wait until next friday to take it on its madden voyage. I also installed the nozzles for my direct port WMI setup but plugged the nozzle holders for now. I'll tube it with Swagelok SS tubing and fittings next chance I get. No rush, i'll be breaking it for a week or two anyways.
    • I could definitely do some logs without the VCT enabled for sure. I believe we tried it on the dyno and it still spiked but wouldn't hurt to try again and have the logs    I might be able to use some metal cable ties and hold the gate open entirely, I'd need to see about that one.   What do we think about these marks on the cap of the actuator? This is where the two parts push together where the diaphragm spring is. To me they look like air has been sleeping past?? Specifically talking about those black stains above the lower rim/lip. They can be rubbed away as if it's just an exhaust stain.
    • And if it still spikes, just for now, turn off VCT completely by disabling it OR simply unplug the solenoid. Just to rule out excessive exhaust pressure. I recall a video from Motive DVD about a decade ago, where Hawkins original single Garrett GTX3582 or so turbo had boost control issues sub 1.4bar of boost as well.   Food for thought? Is there anyway you can peg the WG completely open and/or dodgily not plumb it back into your exhaust system for testing purposes?
