P Plates??

I heard it was as of 1st July or something like that. Definately coming into effect but not exactly sure when. They were also thinking of having cerfew and passenger restrictions for P platers also. Also not sure if they will be going ahead.

Neither has been passed. The P plate one no doubt will be, but not for a while. The cerfew one doesn’t stand a chance at getting passed.

i cant see any other reason to complain about p plates other than i might make a p-plater an easier cop target

if you're too cool to stick em on your car you really dont have the maturity to drive

Is it it NSW or Victoria that they've placed power restrictions on p-plater's cars? No turbos full-stop, no V8s, might have been other things too, can't remember. But yeah, if they feel that tactic was "successful" they'll prolly bring it in here next time there's a big p-plater accident.

Vicotoria. It's somthing like 125kw per tonne? Thus if a turbo cars fall's under this you can have one, as well as a V8. R32 gtst's are legal for P platers in Vic, where as R33 gtst's are not and so forth.

it would be a long time before they could bring in a power restriction in qld. most if not all people on their p's now would be clear..........

something like that takes ages. lots of debate, time for reponce etc.
