so anyway rebuilt the engine

gtr xr6t

lots of power

stock head gasket (being a tight arse) engine has done 3000

furk!

so anyway i blew thw headgasket

i dont want to blame anyone but i recone 1 week old optimax and a hard fang caused a bit a detonation which the forged bottom end laughed at and the stock gtr headgasket didnt like

anyone recomend a 60 tho metal gobbie and vrs kit

looking for one in the next week to make a competion in 3 weeks time

Optimax is very ordinary.

My road car pings on the crap, if its a few days old.

Go Ultimate.

Keep the stock gasket, but get the setup o-ringed, way more reliable.

For the gasket to go, it must have been detonation anyway. Better to have a weak point to fail then have a piston damaged.
