Hi guys.

I am getting married in September. So, for my last act of rebellion against the dreaded ball and chain (wha..? no baby, i was kidding. No really! No, don.....*slap* ow) I am having a week long road trip directly before my wedding.

This will have a full itinerary designed by myself and a premier Targa Tasmania navigator. Actually, he is the guy who writes the rally notes for Targa Tasmania and virtually every other road event in Tassie. So, it should be great.

I am hoping to have the itinerary done soon, so people can grab a copy of it. This will allow people to join either for a couple of hours or the whole week, as our position will be itemised in the itinerary.

If I could get a little feedback as to how many people I could look at getting down here. It will be running from 20-27 September. I dont need definites, just expressions of interest....

Feel free to post back with any feedback.... my email is [email protected] as well.

Thanks

Slaz....

  • 4 weeks later...

Cruise is postponed.

We have postponed the wedding until January, so the cruise shall be moved accordingly. If this interests anybody, even slightly, just get in contact with me. I assure fun for all, and a great bunch of awesome roads. So far, Squizz is the only one who has shown interest on this site. C'mon guys, I don't smell that badly do I? And I don't bite. Much. Just nibble, heheh.....

If anyone has any ideas regarding logistics or events during the cruise, PM me, reply to this thread or email me at [email protected]. Even if two people turn up, this cruise will be going ahead.....

Thanx guys......

September was a definate no go for me , January is a distinct posibility. Depends on my wife's schedule. we would both love to do it, I will chat her up and get back to you in a couple of days :(

Need definate dates as soon as possible

hi my dad has done it 7 times and he loves it.

it is a great event to do and also a great corse if your not entering the event.

the only problem with the event is the cost of hom much it is to enter.

it costs 4 grand for each person to enter that is not including the car.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
