Hi

Please dont flame me for starting these threads but i'm a bit stuck as to what mod i should get next. Obviusly i want the most gain in power.

I will be purchasing either a profec A ebc or a safc II next week but will only be able to purchase one at this current moment

Current ride is a r34 GTT with a full exhaust and a pod filter.

I'm looking at boosting it to 10psi and occasionally to 12psi for quick squirts (is there such thing as 11psi or is it even increments?). Is this ok for a gtt on stock IC and turbo? Will i experience any substantial gain in upping 2/3 psi boost?

SAFC II

well i guess this speaks for itself

i think the safc II will be the smart "safe" choice but wat are your thoughts on an ebc?

what other mods do you have?

I initially had full exhaust, FMIC, then I boosted it to 10 psi with the norgren 2 valve + check valve system which cost me $150 intotal to build.

The car went like crap b/c it was overfueling on 10psi boost.

When I got my SAFC2 and tuned it, my dyno chart showed 200rwkw at 9psi, and the car felt great. Not just power, but driveability and smoothness made it so much more enjoyable to drive.

Now I have an R32 wastegate actuator which I picked up for $50. Hold 10psi of boost better than any valve or EBC. If I want more boost, I can wire up the standard boost solenoid to a switch, and that doesn't cost a cent.

if you just want 10psi boost on the standard turbo, dont waste your money on an EBC, just get the RB20DET wastegate actuator, and get the SAFC2.

The SAFC2 is the best value for money mod on an RB25DET (or the jaycar kits - same thing)

cool thanks for the response

yeah, i'm goin to buy the safc today as the guy is selling for a good price =)

would a rb20det wastegate actuator work on a rb25det neo?

might have to look into this as well so i dont waste the tuning

edit: bleh, i've gota stop using the other account =|

    • Hahahahah, look, your not wrong 馃槀馃槀 and thank you brother 馃檹馃徏 jokes aside, I haven't driven the car in 6+ years and it's like I'm starting all over again, and furthermore the car is wayyyy more powerful and it's characteristics are night and day different now compared to what I remember. So I'm slowly easing myself back into the groove, the car is literally scaring me a bit tbh.....it feels like it has 200hp more than it does on paper and responds like a cammed Ls v8, and-some! 馃槄 every single bit of throttle pedal travel and input has instant response all the way to the floor, zero flat spots or labouring feelings, it's nuts. • If the house has ever been sold before too, they have photos from that etc.
    • I used to do that, but then I got savvy. The benefits of having your phone photos geotagged outweigh the negatives. I just don't publish any photo straight off the phone/out of the gallery/off google photos, etc. If I'm going to use a photo, other than for SMSing to fam, I will always open it on the computer, copy it/otherwise edit it and save down without the original metadata, before using it. For example, posting photos of my engine bay into a thread on here, to show someone a plug or something - I will just screen-cap the section I want to use and paste that section direct from the clipboard into the post. No metadata goes along with.
