Not to everyone hes not. He will quickly reply to emails/pm's until he has your money then good luck getting any replies out of him afterwards.

I'm not going to repeat myself, whether in emails or conversation. If you want to say the same line over and over, you're only going to get one reaction and reply. Continuously repeating the same bullshit only makes you look silly

He advertised a pair of rebuilt nismo turbos he said had been rebuilt and ready to pickup from the shop, I paid him, didnt hear from him for a few days, when I finally got a reply suddenly the workshop hadnt finished the rebuild but would send them to me when they were done.

You received your turbos within 10 workings days of receipt of payment. I busted their balls about getting them sent out. You started harassing me over shipment before your payment had even cleared, but that's ok you're the disgruntled adolescent here.

Edit: I can't understand that you could not work out the length of time from payment till receiving goods. You have the DD receipt, as well as the datestamped box from delivery? Let me recap - you did the DD on 14/2/05 and received the turbos on the 25/2/05. Given 2 days for payment to clear, that's 9 whole days. 7 working days. How many days to a month? 7? I think that's called a week.

Had photos with the serial tag still on the turbos, promised me a warranty + receipt from the workshop. A month later when I finally get my turbos they have no tags, no receipts, and NO warranty on them, and couldnt even get a reply out of the scumbag over it.

I was not in a position to remove anything from the packages as they were sent directly to your from the turbo shop. I know that when turbos are rebuilt they take the plates off - if you're convinced that I switched turbos on you they tell me, what turbos did you get? Oh that's right, you've even admitted you don't know what you are looking at when inspecting a turbo. I even gave you a list of differences to pick out an N1 turbo, fck even use the search button and listen to other people. But no, you still rail on how I gave you a set of standard turbos from Papua New Guinea and that I've ripped you off.

I stopped replying to you because you repeatedly insult and rave on, you refuse to comprehend anything I've ever said to you and still insist on maintaining your ground that you have unknown turbos.

Now about 5000kms later one of my turbos have died, hes denied to speak to the workshop over it (even though he apparently knows the guy who was supposed to rebuild them) and basically said I have to deal with it.

This guy is just a lowlife piece of shit, just a warning to you all, you wont get what he advertises all the time.

And before anyone gives me the "oh well I got my parts ok/chris is a good guy" bullshit I dont give a shit, you wernt the one who got ripped off a good couple thousand, so dont even try to understand from my point of view.

If you didn't have your head up your ass the whole time maybe people would react differently to you. Going through your post history is rather amusing, as you've clearly got no idea yet will refuse to either

1/ admit it

or

2/ get a professional opinion on matters.

This whole debacle has been sparked by "a mechanic" who listened to the car and claimed "he had a car that made a sound like it and the turbo blew apart within a week". Great basis for such a pathetic series of events, don't you think? You still haven't inspected the turbos, have you? Still on the car and driving it around? Hey it's been over a week, shouldn't it have blown up by now? The problem has not been pinpointed, and you should realise that both the mechanic and turbo shop are going to point the finger at each other, something that an oil analysis and comprehensive fact finding is going to resolve. But then again, you're not interested in facts are you?

Edit: You still haven't called the turbo shop, have you? Ahh that's right, martyrdom is preferred. If you don't contact them and follow their warranty procedures it's unlikely that they will be compelled to honor it, as who knows what you or your mechanic has done to them? It's out of their hands if they have not been treated well. But then again, say overspeeding them due to a boost leak isn't your fault is it? Or incorrect installation, which isn't possible considering you're such a guru.

Edit again: No where have I said that you have "to deal with it". But you don't listen and can't reply with any degree of maturity so why should I waste my time to cop insults and bullshit?

I never said they were standand turbos. I said they didnt have the tags on them like they should have. I have no doubt that they are N1's. I only cared about the tags for if I ever went to sell the turbos, it would be alot easier to confirm to a buyer, as ive explained before.. but just twist it into whatever suits you best.

My mechanic said the exact same thing happened to his last car, so he knows what that sound is, and no im not driving the car around because obviously its ****ed thanks to your turbos. Its drivable.. but for how long?

Ring the workshop? so you want me to ring a workshop in another state that ive never delt with, with no warranty/receipt from the workshop, and tell them they have to fix my turbos because they apparently rebuilt them?

You like to talk as much bullshit as you can to try ignore the fact you never supplied me with the warranty like you said, if you had of, I wouldnt of had to bother wasting my time contacting a piece of shit like yourself and would have had some proof for the workshop that they actually did the rebuild, and I would have no problem. I pm'd you about the warranty after I received the turbos and realised it wasnt there and surprise surprise, no response yet again.

Its easy enough just for you to say "go ring the workshop" when you know as well as I do they wont do a thing given the circumstances just above. If you wernt such a low life you could have just spoken to the person you delt with so I would actually be able to get the workshop to rebuild them yet again.

No where have I said that you have "to deal with it"

So just ignoring my pm's regarding if your going to speak to the workshop for me means that your willing to help me out? good one

Twist? I don't doubt what you have said all along:

they could be standard gtr turbos rebuilt to simiar specs for all I know.
You never even had the turbos rebuilt did you? did you just get them cleaned up so they look like new?
(the turbo shop) have never even seen the turbos

Ring the workshop? And say what? Oh you know those turbos I broke your balls over, well uhm the guy said that his sister's boyfriend's cousin heard a sound like that once and a turbo blew up? You won't even provide me with information like the workshop/mechanic used, how the hell can I start a conversation without anything but some verbal diahorrea? There's nothing concrete, and you're not interested in providing it. You know more than me about what's going on with the car, and you don't beleive a work I say.

As I've stated, lose the attitude and stop being such an insulting prick. This thread's allowed me to stoop to your level a bit with the insults, but it's really not going anywhere. If there is a problem (which I don't doubt there is) then you've got to pinpoint the issue and resolve it with the relevant party. But until you're got some facts you're just wasting everyone's time, and there's no point replying until matters change. From what you've posted, nothing has.

My mechanic (A fella that works on turbo cars for a living, not a family relative) said the exact same thing happened to him, its a unique sound, he knows what it is, what more do you want? 10 references from other mechanics before you do anything about it? You want me to pretend like im your friend after you ****ed me around with these turbos on a hope you might actually speak to the workshop?

You said you were going into the workshop to see him anyhow, all I asked is if you would talk to them so they would know they actually did rebuild the turbos when I ring up, and sent you 2 messages asking when you were going to speak to them and got no reply

Im already getting quotes from other places as its obvious your not doing anything about it, im not here arguing with you hoping you might pull through, its obvious your not willing to do the right thing on your behalf, im just posting to let other people know hopefully might save them the trouble ive been through with you.

Good work quoting pm's too, your a real hero.

Its amazing how quick you reply here compared to your pm's

Midnight: If you resort to any more personal attacks over this matter you will be banned. It occurs to me that YOU need to take a mature approach to resolving this as Chris has tried to, without resorting to calling people a peice of shit.

You wont be asked again, enough of the insults and colourful language

I Have delt with Chris,

For a long time now!!!

MidnightGTR - I doubt that your engine Tuner or whatever u call him...

Can tell a blown turbo from just a simple noise....Any smoke? How is the drivability? A noise would be the last thing to show any sign's of a blown turbo...

If it is indeed stuffed How can u possibly ring Chris And say its his fault???? He is just a guy who had N1's rebuilt from a turbo workshop and then sold them to u...

I would understand u being so angry 'IF' he has rebuilt them used them on his car then gave them to u But they are brand new rebuilds...

Hey even i have been in your situation....Not long ago...I didn't rave on and try and verbally abuse the person about the turbo's!!! Its simply not his fault..

The way i see it its just bad luck on your behalf/ Your not the only person who experiences turbo failure after new rebuilds or even new Turbo;s...

Sorry if Its not my place to speak or place my opinion....But Chris DOESN'T / WONT Rip people off for his own good...

From experience on most sales He ends up losing money And prob in your case aswell...

Sorry once again if its not my place to speak!

Tony

Your comments are welcome tony

Im not saying its his fault, I know he didnt rebuild them or use them or have anything to do with it, but he is the only way I could have possibly got the workshop to honour a warranty as he delt with them and not myself.

If I had of got a warranty/receipt like promised I could have just contacted the shop, but as ive explained a million times above it would be useless trying to ring them and say they rebuilt these with no paperwork like I should have received. If I could do it anyone with a blown turbo could try get a free rebuild off them

It would take little effort on his behalf to explain the situation to the workshop but he isnt interested, that is what pisses me off. It could easily be resolved but he would rather gob off on the internet over it.

Congratulations - you have shown yourself up as a complete hypocrite Funny that the insults and name calling (Scumbag, piece of shit etc) appear to have originated from you

Take it to pm or email now midnight and sort it out with Chris like an adult, rather than the trash talking approach you have taken thus far

DO NOT post in this thread again - I am sure if you tone down and be a little more cooperative, Chris will do his very best to sort this situation out.

If you have a problem, pm me to discuss it further but there will be no more arguing in this thread.

PRECISION TURBOS GIVE IT TO U UP THE ASS!!!

IF I COULD RECALL DID THE TURBOS GET BUILT THERE? MY UNCLES BLITZ 850 TURBO GOT SERVICED THERE FOR HIS GTR AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW....1500KMS LATER (LAST WEEK) THE SEALS SHIT THEMSELVES (PLENTY OF WHITE SMOKE) THIS IS A PAYING CUSTOMER WITH RECIEPTS!!

AFTER INSPECTION FROM THEM THEY SAID THAT THE OIL RETURN WAS TO SMALL.....THUS WARRANTY VOIDED (OBVIOUSLY BLITZ HAS THERE RESEARCH ALL WRONG BECAUSE ALL PARTS USED ON THE EXHAUST SIDE IS FROM BLITZ AND THE FACT THAT CROYDON AUTOSPORTS DID THE TUNE DOES THIS MEAN THEY CANT TUNE??)

I THINK THERE ARE SOME AGGITATED PPLS HERE AND I THINK THAT BOTH PARTIES SHOULD NOT BE TAKING IT OUT ON ONE ANOTHER RATHER SUCCUMB TO THE FACT THAT THE PLACE THAT SERVICES THEM ARE FARKED AND YOU TWO CAN KISS AND MAKE UP THROUGH PM'S....

P.S AFTER GETTING THE TURBO ANALYSED FORM GCG AND GARETT...THEY BOTH AGREED THAT PRECISION USED SECOND HAND BEARINGS WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE NEW!! :upurs:

MATE!!!!! nv033!!!!

have I got some news (call it good in a sense for you) :)

my R32 GTR with rebuilt steel wheel turbos from this very workshop (non-precision turbos) lasted exactly 1500km before turning into a pitts special...(oh thats the aerobatic aircraft you all have seen doing air displays over motor racing events.... yes massive white clouds of smoke out the back!!!)

I took my car immediately to DART automotive where the engine was built, trusting Jim as he is one of the few guys worth touching a GT-R in my opinion....

anyhow, they pulled the turbos off, whilst I was overseas, and confirmed they had both worn out the bearing material....hmmmm sounding awefully familiar!!!

long story short I took them out on returning to australia asking for an answer to why a rebuilt turbo could do this in such a small amount of time considering they were running stock boost !!!!

response????

"oh the oil supply or return lines are too small... blah blah blah!!!"

I went back to Jim in a panic, asking him to double and tripple check the oil lines, and he did so, showing superb oil flow and return.... no argument there, as I have seen it with my own eyes!!!

now I have the car back together with REAL TURBOS HKS GT-SS I will be going to visit said turbo builder armed with this knowledege....

he will have 3 options....

1) pay for ALL cost involved in replacing his faulty turbos!

2) rebuild turbos to new spec at his cost

3) see you in court mate :)

PS chris is a demi-god of parts just ask morgs!!!! oh and morgs knows all about my turbo story also....

anyone else please PM me regarding this issue!

oh and I think chris uses GCG.....

sorry for the RANT and hijack, just has cost me massive $$$$$ and I will be going for the throat now I am armed with evidence I am not the only one....

Chris used Precision as he told me quote "Precison have been around alot longer then GCG and are better anyway"

Thats 2 people who said this workshop is dodge, I wonder how many more dodgy rebuilds they have done?

Add to that I never received my warranty or receipt for the rebuild as promised by Chris, and do you still think I dont have a right to be feeling ripped off? (from what others have said a so called "warranty" from this mob doesnt do much good anyway)

How many more examples do you need chris? Or do you still thinking im dreaming about my ****ed turbos?

midnight,

please calm down, I am sure Chris is doing his best as he is one of the few good guys left in this game.... most give up in shear frustration with having to deal with this type of thing....

it is blindingly obvious that it is precision turbos and not chris who needs to be feeling your pain, have you rung them up?

non-precision turbos (john)

unit 51 93-97 newton rd

wetherill park

(02) 9756 5757

I will be paying them the second visit in a few days regarding my faulty turbos....

I also know chris is right on this issue, and I have spoken to him about it.... so just chill, you are not alone in having white smoke out the back :D

I am calm, its all good.

As ive said before, its no use me ringing them as I have no paperwork that I was supposed to get, so hence have no proof that it was actually precision that rebuilt them, I know its not chris's fault directly, but hes the only one who can speak to the workshop about the turbos as he was the one who delt with them.

see this is what happens when you have a break down in communications

would someone please send this guy a f**king receipt please, please, please ...

what parts are still available???

Just rang John from precision turbos, and what do ya know, within the first minute he starts rambling on about the oil pressure and its the cars fault.. I never saw that one coming.

Even had my mechanic ring him and my mechanic basically said the guy is a wanker and denys anything he said to him (apparently my mechanic doesnt know what hes talking about hah)

Anyway a word of warning for others, never buy any product from Precision turbos, or on that note, i would never buy off doughboy either, hes obviously sold a few of these and knows exactly whats going on.

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
