Ok, the first switch is also in my "Super-Hicas ' Silvia (an up spec S13).

Now I believe this to be a 'de-ioniser' with hi/lo fan setting. You can actually hear the fan spin when the ign is on (engine off, all ign lights on), and your parked in a quite area. Do you also have that big plastic hump on your rear parcel shelf?

Hope I'm right with this???? (I got this answer off these forums!!)

Secondly, with your 'fold-in' mirrors, they are both supposed come in/out at the same time!! (for sure!!) These things do fail sometimes.

You can actually try to service these yourself (they're expensive to replace, let alone find the right colour!!)

Tricky, but sometimes a good clean and wiring check sees them going again!!

Hope this helps, and the ioniser info is correct!!(?)

ok i'll have a look for this lump on the parcel shelf hopefully the fan works, maybe it was too noisy to hear it workin before, plus does that mean i have another oil resevoir for the HICAS in the boot or not. plus does anyone have any wiring diagrams for R32 just to help me out for the future. thanks

Hi M32.

Hicas and that switch have nothing in common....first up!! It's a 'comfort' type of control.

It was just that the 'super-hicas' variants tended to have these more up-market' extras, like that 'fan switch'.

No resevoir in the boot for Hicas.....that I've ever seen....electric, unless it's the earlier version (which you may well have!!) or 4WD?

Yep, a nice quiet location and you'll hear the whirring sound of the fan.!!

R32 wire diagrams are available on this site.....somehere!!

All the best and tell us what you see (hear!!)

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
