Hi Guys! this might sound like a stupid question but im new to this - I can possibly get me hands on a good turbo for a good price, but the flange for it is T25 and of course the rb25 has a t3 flange on it. I can get it flanged up to fit but would anyone see any problems in doing this apart from maybe an decrease in performance of the turbo? could it cause any damage to the turbo or engine? the turbo itself is a good match otherwise.......any comments?

can't you just get a 'spacer plate' made?

like a metal plate that it about 1 inch thick and bolts onto the T3 flange on one side and T25 on the other? making it fit perfectly?

maybe?? Ive heard that it really should be fusion-welded (???) to the turbo to make sure theres no pressure leaks - I can get that done to it to fit but I dont know if that means the ports on the exhaust manifold flange are smaller?? if that was the case then I guess it just wouldnt flow as much as it could otherwise?
