Does anyone know were I can get some side intrusion bars made up for my cefiro?

I only know of a place in queensland, ISASO engineering, that was mentioned on another thread, but he has been putting his prices up since his demand has obviously increased

Would prefer someone local to Perth, but anywere is good as long as its cheap

C-red did the compliance on my Cefiro and I believe they got the side intrusion kit from ISASO aswell.

Yeah, the guy at ISASO just said i could bolt them in with high tensile bolts.

Any chance i can look at yours sime time soon JK

I just need to measure up the length of the bars so i can get mine cut to size.

Would be a handy way of cutting down people's cost in getting them installed

THey quoted me $1000 to get them installed, they only cost $500 at the max to buy

and 2 hours of your time to install

how easy is it to drill a hole in a door and bolt them up?

Im going crazy

its taking me forever to get my car on the road

I just spoke to steve from isaso and he doesnt make them anymore

Great timing

if anyone is able to measure theirs up and let me know how long they are i would greatly appreciate it

Theres no way Im taking mine out... but youre more than welcome to have a look how they are designed. They arent just 1 piece of metal... they are layered like my top view below:

_-------------__

This allows the bar to go inbetween the door seam... and then you can bolt it in.

JK

Yeah, i looked in my dodgy old gemini and they have the same thing. Wasnt sure if it was the same for new cars.

Would appreciate it if i could have a look

I just got measurements of a guy at ISASO, but he told me they needed and end bracket to bolt them in

just really need to see what the brackets look like

Please email me or send me a text when its alright to look at them

mate used to make door bars heres what you do get two round bars one about 30mm diammeter and one to fit insid it make them atleast 3mm wall thickness measure door lenght cut bars so they will overlap at least 300mm more is better then cut two bits of flat bar 3 to 5ml thickcut them big enough to weld flat on end of bars drill holes in for bolting slide bars together fit in door slide bars out to ends bolt them up and weld join paint and your done . make sure you can weld or get them welded properly or they wont pass as they are there for a raeson good luck.

    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
