Hybrid COPY FMIC GROUP BUY - ONLY $220 EACH - VIC

Recommended Posts

I still don't care who you are, or that you run a Business registered in Australia.

You declared on 25 May that all intercoolers were accounted for, and then 27 May you were asking for 50% deposit in a personal email. I thought this fact needed to be made public.

I am not about to pull out of the deal as originally specified, but you want to change the deal midstream.

Others can think what they like (whether this is fair or standard business practice etc) but I think that you are trying to breach a contract.

El Bee

If that's how you feel then that's fine. I don't know how you can not understand from a business point of view why the change. Can you not see the reason? It doesn't matter whether it is public or not, I am not bothered one bit as I have already sold thousands of dollars worth of stock on this 1 website alone with nothing but happy endings :)

I am not trying to breach a contract, I am making am making 1. These coolers will not be sent out without a 50% deposit for obvious reasons.

Cheers

Yes. That is how I feel and, yes, that is fine.

I am not a fool. I do understand English and also the ways of business etc. I have given you my personal details and put in writing my intentions to purchase an item of your merchandise.

You responded that you received such request and all was good. You then decided to apply a condition of sale that I pay 50% in advance. (I'd like to see other businesses try this one)

To make a new contract one of us had to have broken the original. Wasn't me mate.

El Bee

Not happy. Hope your other customers are.

mmmm doen't look like a happy thread to be in.

On elbee111 defence I did notice there was no mention about a deposit at the start of the thread. On EXAUNV defence this is the way most group buys work, if you want to get something cheaper you buy in bulk right? So to buy in bulk you need to money, so to get the money if your like me, poor, you need people. Without the people you can forget about the group buy.

When you ship items from overseas you pay the manufacturer 50% before the items ship and 50% about 5 days before arrival. Thats why most group buys require 50% deposit.

Most people don't mind paying the 50% and waiting a little while because they know they are getting a good deal when they participate in a group buy. Try getting a cooler at autobarn for $220. That wont even get you a blow off valve.

elbee111 if you want a cooler without paying there usually is 1 or 2 coolers unpurchased when the kits come in. You may aswell just wait till they arrive then pay COD if you don't want to secure yourself a cooler. Well thats how my group buys work anyway..

peace :)

The problem that I have is people are pulling out. If I were to have already sent the coolers out by COD I would have lost alot of money. The coolers will be here within 10 days ready to be sent out. Not 1 other person has had a problem with this, and I do not think it is unreasonable in anyway. I am sorry if this has been an inconvenience to you.

The reason that I have to apply this is that I will lose out otherwise. If people are serious about purchasing then I don't see the reason to not make a deposit. It is not like you are dealing with someone overseas, or someone operating from there backyard as a hobby.

Cheers

Greg

I would have thought your Business would have enough Capital to cover the costs of buying your stock but I suppose that is your business.

I have bought an intercooler from this forum a couple of months ago for almost exactly the same price and paid COD for it. This cooler was to be for my Son in Law to be.

It is not my money but my principals won't allow me to bend on this.

Looking for someone with the Hybrid copy coolers COD.

PM sent... If you make a deposit to cover the costs of postage then I don't have a problem sending the intercooler out. This way we cannot lose out and you pay minimal amount upfront.

Greg

Still looking for an intercooler COD.

Do you think I could possibly get away with dudding you after the rukus I have made wanting to stick to the original deal ??

I think I would be run out of town if I didn't honour my side of the bargain (and rightly so !).

El Bee

*edit* Hey I do have a fair bit to lose as I have been a member of this forum for a looooooong time and am a financial member of SAU NSW. I value this. I see you have been around for about six months now. All the best.

I can see both sides of this argument and neither of you are going to back down, which is fair enough.

Im in the same boat as elbee as i have been taken for a ride before over the internet and will only do 100% COD with anything in the future.

As for not being able to find a cooler for the price you are selling them for, i bought a HYBRID copy from Repco for $299 and the piping cost me $180 to put onto my mates R32 and will be doing the exact same thing for mine.

The tuner could not tell the difference and it does the job just as well as any other copy out there and at the end of the day it probably comes from the same place.

These GB's are great and i was going to buy a kit from one of these but it was going to cost that little bit extra for me with freight living in Tassie, so did a little bit of research and got a good end result.

WOuld ofl iked to support people on SAU and other sites but at the end of the day its the best bang for your buck in my book.

From day one the seller has been straight up with my q's and always got back to me with no fuss and after talking with lots of SAU members that have delt with him in the past im sure i would of bought a kit off him if i needed too.

are the coolers in yet

Hi, unfortunately not. There has been delay after delay.

The ship will be landing this Friday and then there will be a few days for customs. The mintute the coolers clear customs and are picked up they will be bubble wrapped, labelled, and then sent out immediately.

The sky is blue because

The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

:)

Sorry for the late reply but this is long over due hands down!!!

Greg,

Its now wednesday 3:30pm as per your previous email stating ''Should clear customs on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest''

Have you received the coolers yet? If so has it cleared Customs yet? If so have you sent it out yet? If NO, when will you be sending them out?

Dave

Hi Dave, unfortunately customs is really out of our control. The intercoolers were released at around 4:40pm this afternoon.

The coolers have now been checked, bubble wrapped, labelled and are now ready to be sent out tomorrow morning.

Sorry about the delays but all have been out of our control.

Please let me know when you guys receive your coolers.

I have a few spare ones so if anyone needs a cooler let me know :D

Hi guys the intercoolers finally cleared customs late this afternoon. They will be sent out first thing tomorrow morning.

I have a few spares so if anyone needs one please email me asap.

Cheers

    • Update 3: Hi all It's been a while. Quite a lot of things happened in the meantime, among other things the car is (almost) back together and ready to be started again. Things that I fixed or changed: Full turbo removal, fitting back the OEM turbo oil hardlines. Had to do quite a bit of research and parts shopping to get every last piece that I need and make it work with the GT2860 turbos, but it does work and is not hard to do. Proves that the previous owner(s) just did not want to. While I was there I set the preload for the wastegates to 0,9bar to hopefully make it easier for the tuner to hit the 370hp I need for the legal inspections that will follow later on. Boost can always go up if necessary. Fitted a AN10 line from the catch can to the intake hose to make the catchcan and hopefully the cam covers a slight vacuum to have less restrictive oil returns from the head and not have mud build up as harshly in the lines and catch can. Removed the entire front interior just shy of the dashboard itself to clean up some of the absolutely horrendous wiring, (hopefully) fix the bumpy tacho and put in LED bulbs while I was there. Also put in bulbs where there was none before, like the airbag one. I also used that chance to remove the LED rpm gauge on the steering column, which was also wired in absolute horror show fashion. Moved the 4in1 Prosport gauge from sitting in front of the OEM oil pressure gauge to the center console vents, I used a 3D printed vent piece to hold that gauge there. The HKB steering wheel boss was likely on incorrectly as I sometimes noticed the indicator reset being uneven for left vs. right. In the meantime also installed an airbag delete resistor, as one should. Installed Cube Speed premium short shifter. Feels pretty nice, hope it'll work great too when I actually get to drive. Also put on a fancy Dragon Ball shift knob, cause why not. My buddy was kind enough to weld the rust hole in the back, it was basically rusted through in the lowermost corner of the passenger side trunk area where the wheel arch, trunk panel and rear quarter all meet. Obviously there is still a lot of crustiness in various areas but as long as it's not rusted out I'll just treat and isolate the corrosion and pretend it's not there. Also had to put down a new ground wire for the rear subframe as the original one was BARELY there. Probably a bit controversial depending on who you ask about this... but I ended up just covering the crack in the side of the engine block, the one above the oil feed, with JB Weld. I used a generous amount and roughed up the whole area with a Dremel before, so I hope this will hold the coolant where it should be for the foreseeable future. Did a cam cover gasket job as the half moons were a bit leaky, and there too one could see the people who worked on this car before me were absolute tools. The same half moons were probably used like 3 times without even cleaning the old RTV off. Dremeled out the inside of the flange where the turbine housing mates onto the exhaust manifolds so the diameter matches, as the OEM exhaust manifolds are even narrower than the turbine housings as we all know. Even if this doesn't do much, I had them out anyways, so can't harm. Ideally one would port-match both the turbo and the manifold to the gasket size but I really didn't feel up to disassembling the turbine housings. Wrapped turbo outlet dumps in heat wrap band. Will do the frontpipe again as well as now the oil leak which promted me to tear apart half the engine in the first place is hopefully fixed. Fitted an ATI super damper to get rid of the worn old harmonic balancer. Surely one of the easiest and most worth to do mods. But torquing that ARP bolt to spec was a bitch without being able to lock the flywheel. Did some minor adjustments in the ECU tables to change some things I didn't like, like the launch control that was ALWAYS active. Treated rusty spots and surface corrosion on places I could get to and on many spots under the car, not pretty or ideal but good enough for now. Removed the N1 rear spats and the carbon surrounding for the tailpipe to put them back on with new adhesive as the old one was lifting in many spots, not pretty. Took out the passenger rear lamp housing... what do you know. Amateur work screwed me again here as they were glued in hard and removing it took a lot of force, so I broke one of the housing bolts off. And when removing the adhesive from the chassis the paint came right off too. Thankfully all the damaged area won't be visible later, but whoever did the very limited bodywork on this car needs to have their limbs chopped off piece by piece.   Quite a list if I do say so myself, but a lot of time was spent just discovering new shit that is wrong with the car and finding a solution or parts to fix it. My last problem that I now have the headache of dealing with is that the exhaust studs on the turbo outlets are M10x1.25 threaded, but the previous owner already put on regular M10 nuts so the threads are... weird. I only found this out the hard way. So now I will just try if I can in any way fit the front pipe regardless, if not I'll have to redo the studs with the turbos installed. Lesson learned for the future: Redo ALL studs you put your hands on, especially if they are old and the previous owners were inept maniacs. Thanks for reading if you did, will update when the engine runs again. Hope nothing breaks or leaks and I can do a test drive.
    • No those pads are DBA too  but they have colors too. I look at the and imo the green "street" are the best.
    • I’m not sure what happened I told them about sonic tunes free OTS tune and the next the I know .. I was booted..   To funny
    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
