Yes its Nicos old one. And Nico did most of the work on it, tidyed it up etc. So I think its CRAP that old mate Stoney would appear to be taking the credit, along with 'zoom importers' as neither had anything to do with the car. I'll go as far to say I belive there were 2 owners after Nico before stoney bought the car.

As much as I dont like the car, as I think why make a cefiro a 2 door. I dont think it is right that others take the credit. Or at least that is the impression I got.

Just to clarify.......Yes that was my car.......Yes i did import it.....Doors and flares were welded in japan (NEVER Re-welded in OZ) BUT i did have the bodywork cut back to "start again" including re-shaping of the flares etc.

To those that are not keen on the flares.......either am I......But i LOVE the rims. It did it's job for me as far as advertising.

As far as Stoney and Zoom taking the credit.......I say let them have their 15mins of fame......if they can't do it for themselves, stealing the credit is their only option i suppose.

Good luck to them and Stoney............

PS: I wanna see him match that colour/pearl HAHAHAHAHAHA

lol nico you're a funny man.

But yeah I don't see how they're TRYING To take the credit. They just happen to have it in the article.

If they are then well I take what I said back heh either way pretty funny good on ya :)

My reasoning for those comments is because he has actually told MY WIFE, that ZOOM imported the car!!!!!! (He of course did not know it was my wife when he said it..) hahaha lol

I spoke to Troy tonight and he said he was not trying to take credit for the call at all, he was simply advertising his business as the current owner is a customer.

As for the current owners missasumption that Zoom imported the car, I don't think that has anything at all to do with Troy and his business.

just my 2c

Jaime.

I can only comment on the remarks that the current owner has made......As far as stoney ASSUMING zoom imported.....i find that difficult to swallow....as it had MY stickers on it when he bought it :D

Either way not an issue.........however Tony may want to change the specs for the car on his site.......even the wheels sizes are incorrect (i sent him an email to let him know but have got no response)

For the record, I am in no way upset about this.......Though i have never dealt with zoom..i have scoured their site, and their products and prices are certainly fair. I would not hesitate trading with them.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
