Oran Park skidpan day

Recommended Posts

I'm sure everyone who attended will tell you how much fun we all had at last weekend's skidpan day.

There may be one coming up depending on numbers again soon. The dates below on Aaron's email will give you some idea. Due to the high degree of apathy and general tightarse nature of the high number of people on various lists we tried last time, I couldn't be f'd organising another exclusive gsr/sdu/performance forums etc day, so we will just have to fit in with whatever else is there.

Send me an email if you're interested. [email protected]

From Aaron:

Hi everyone, I hope this e-mail finds you well.

I am sending you some dates and events for the balance of 2002. We

will promote each day as it comes up.

Please note that the November course is a combined track & skid pan

day that will be our last event for you more experienced drivers of

the year. Whilst it takes in the final round of our "Challenge"

series the day is open to everyone, we will be running the "elite"

drivers separately to the main group with the view to having the

final pointscoring Challenge event in front of the huge crowd.

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
