Motorsport is dangerous. You or your car could get hurt etc etc etc

There are walls to hit, it's no Wakefield park. The only place where the wall is at the edge of the track is on the last turn. Everywhere else it is either open or kitty litter before the wall. They are no closer than EC's walls, and there's no fast 180kph turns....

If it's on a weekend I can probably come along (not as an participant, but as a photographer)

I will bring my new Digital SLR and lenses along..

I should be right for about 350 photos on the 1Gb Drive

Hey Jason,

I have a 6gb X-Drive you can off-load the photo's onto if need be and I am there on the day :)

Which DigiSLR do you have your paws on?

silver-arrowz- yeah thought so, i was just curious, might join in for the track day though.

prank- i actually just missed out on getting that car in my avatar, it was an already prepared drift car, the bid went too high. but i picked up a 95 model 180sx instead at the auctions, i should have the keys in my hands by next wednesday. ill probably sell it soon though, and then order another 180...this time ill make sure i have a 97 model, i absolutely love em, they look awsome and they are rare in sydeny and oz......but another 5 gees ontop of a 95 model 180.

yours looks preety good aswell man, black looks the best.

i just checked the motoconcepts website and it says the entry fee is $200 for this day?? i am not willing to spend $200 + petrol for one day...

but if we r getting some sort of group discount i am interested in participating... :P

http://motoconcepts.com.au/cal_frame.htm

$200 less discount sounds about right, it was 140 for last full day at EC but that was a weekday - fair bit more on the weekend.

Most fun you'll ever have for $200......

My whale did 1.11. Its another great track, both wakefield and oran park own EC.

We'll have to do a day down there when it cools down a bit, they have cheap open practice days pretty regularly

how much did it cost u last time u went to wakefield? i am thinking $80 (entrance fee) + $30 (licence fee, i'm first timer) + $60 (return trip petrol cost) + $80-90 (petrol spent on track..) = $250-260 (+ lunch) ?? am i on the right track?? ^_^ thanks

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
