Turbo Timer Installation Problem!

Hey Everyone,

Well i decided to attempt to install a biltz FATT into my 32 gtr to save a bit of cash, Anyway ive hooked the the 4 wires up 1 for constant 12v and 1 for accesories, and aslo 1 for the "ON" and the earth wire also all to there right colours of course ect, i know there is 3 other wires that go to the speed sensor on the ECU, and handbrake wire and one for automatics which i didnt hook up any of those 3 , but ive been told i dont need to hook them up as i just want a countdown mode only, well here the problems lies well when i go to switch the car off the engine stops and the the turbo timer turns off also which is what i dont want it to do so its got me, could it be how i have wired it or the turbo timer is faulty?

But any help would be greatly appreicated

hey mate i had exactly the same problem with my r32 i ended up getting it working when i got my alarm installed i just tapped those wires i didnt end up using all three thought so my doesnt turn on at accories just as on (ignition 2).

but it works fine thought and also i would sugest putting the hand break sensor in for security reasons.

Yeh mine doesnt turn on till the key is onto the on switch to, i mite have to hook up that handbrake wire than just incase, but thanks

hey mate would the ignition wires be the same in gtr as a gts-t? if so ill check my wiring and tell you

What's the handbrake sensor do? Only run the TT with the handbrake up?

yep if you let it down when its timing if turns off the car.

That's good. I hope my TT has it. I wondered why it had 5 wires hopefully one of those is that.

its pretty tops i have the trust fully auto timer and the hand break is the brown wire.

Good stuff - Just out of interest where did you find your handbrake wire? r32 and a31 looms are very similiar.

I'm yet to install my TT but yeah it's an old school one.

i took out the middle console its piss easy and there is one wire i think it was yellow or orange or something like that tapped it and away you go!

Where does the wire lead into? The base/leverage point of the handbrake?

just goes along the side of the hand break to the back of it and then under the rubber boot thingy there's only one wires neways
