Has anyone seen a V35 350GT in Brisbane for sale or being complianced? I remember seeing a thread on it but couldn't find it again. If so, where??? Have they started being complianced yet???

Would love to check one out in the flesh:p

Cheers

Jason

there is one around, it is a silver 350GT with big arse 20" deep dish rims.

looks absolutely awesome in the flesh, much better proportions than they look like in the photo's. There have been a couple of threads on here about workshops in Brisneyland complying them can't remember which workshops though (maybe skylineimports) but apparantly they have ridiculous prices in mind.

Jspec are doing the importing and complying for sure, and at a good price (under 40k on road) http://www.j-spec.com.au/

i called jspec to ask about the 350gt and they told me they couldnt do better than around 42 k complied. which was 38k for car and then 4.5k for compliance. although they said you can get the 2.5 litre one for much cheaper.

That's great! The *other* places want 55-60K for an auto, a 350Z is much more attractive at those prices

:werd:

why would you buy a 2nd hand 350gt (as much as I would like one) for as much as a brand new 350z with full three year warranty.

I can see J-Spec selling heaps and laughing at the other tossers who have overpriced them.

I checked out some current auction prices

CPV35 2 Door 3.5L Auto 25-40ks $34000 landed plus compliance

CPV35 2 Door 3.5L Auto 7-15ks $38000 landed plus compliance

V35 4 Door 3.5L Auto 13ks $26000 landed plus compliance

V35 4 Door 2.5L Auto 61ks $18000 landed plus compliance

CPV35 2 Door 3.5L 6 speed Man 15ks $46000 landed plus compliance

Only saw 1 car that was a 6spd 2 door 3.5L out of about 50 cars, so they could be hard to get and expensive. At that price I would buy a 350Z and not have the whole import car hassles i.e insurance

Would be nice to have a CPV35 just to be different or buy a 2.5L for a much cheaper price and twin turbo it........runs off to check turbo kit prices.

hehe yeah i check out all the turbo kits they range from 15k up to 50k so pretty expensive and heard that the cheaper 15k ones arent that good in the way of fuel managment ect. And not being built as a turbo car you would want to upgrade some internals so i would say you wouldnt get away with turboing it for less than 18k or so. I dont think i would pay over 55k for the whole package. maybe if it was 4wd :P

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG is has not responded to my emails so far after purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
