Hmmm to be honest, your friend probably wont get off it. Its quite far over the limit, however theres no harm contesting... Most likely if you write into the infringement bearu, they will reject the "accelerator being stuck" and then you always have the option of taking it to court. If your friend has a clean history, his chances of reducing the fine are alot easier (depending on age), however chances are VERY SLIM if you have previous driving offences. Anyhow, good luck with what is to come... Not driving is the biggest hassel!!!!! Haysey Posted July 23, 2005 Share Posted July 23, 2005 My old car used to have the accelerator stuck.,.... had to stick it in 5th use the brake and pull over / switch off engine and smack throttle body..... clean record and detailed mechanical report will give him a good chance...
