Off Topic: Escrow

Hey guys. I know this has nothing to do wit cars, but I thought I'd just say my bit.

I've just been working through a transaction with an escrow agent (originally through eBay, then outsourced). Processed the transaction for a couple of days, and shipped my item yesterday.

Anyway, turned out the guy who I was selling my item to (a ring worth $18000.... still for sale btw ) was a fraud, and the escrow company, which he insisted on working with, was run by him.

Luckily, myself along with another half dozen people were warned by some guy who had uncovered the site. I was able to recall the ring this morning and hopefully all should be fine.... after a tall cold one.

So yeah, nearly lost $18K, and just wanted to warn everyone again, watch out who u work with. The escrow company was called escrow-ltd.com.

From what I've now researched, I'd only recommend ever using escrow.com or escrowaustralia.com.au.
