As above, cruise down the great ocean road 14th august.

All right heres the layout.

I'll have a few grouping points along the way so if your late you have time to catch up and for the people comming from differant locations can meet up.

1) Meet in Abbotsford 7:30 - 8:00. Ref 49E3. 126 Trenerry cres. olive green building last on your right befor corner if comming from Johnston st. opposite maugie st. front carpark. Depart at 8:00 am sharp. As in map 1.

1 B) Right into Johnston st,

Left into Hoddle,

Right into wellinton pde. Turns into Flinders st. Continue over Spencer,

turns into wurundjeri way. as in map 2.

Right on to the West gate fwy.

2) Gather point 1 at the BP service station in Lara.

Arrive 8:40am.Travel time from Abbotsford sholud be 35 - 40 mins. Leave at 8:50.

As you come down the freeway theres a sign that says "pt wilson restricted area" its a few k's past that sign. It's a k or 2 before the avalon airpot turn off.

As in map 3.

2 B) Along princess fwy into Geelong. Onto the surf coast hwy

as in map 4.

3) Gather point 2 at the Torquay golf club car park.

As you go through Torquay, past the surf shops (on right, eg. Ripcurl etc..) You come to the main round-a-bout. This is were the Surf coast hwy turns into the Great ocean rd. After going around to the right, take first left and thats the toquay golf club carpark. As in map 5.

By now every one who is on the cruise can get together have a chat and we can organise where we want to stop for lunch etc...

Head to Apollo bay!

I haven't been to Apollo bay in years so I don't know where a good spot to pull over is (as yet), so I guess the first big open space we see.

Map 6.

Take some photos, fark around a bit then come back up through the colac/princess hwy to Geelong then to Melbourne

As per usuall, start with a full tank of juice.

And if you are seriuosly interested in comming, don't have a big night on this piss saturday night. Sounds pretty self explanatory but I my self fell victim to it saturday just passed, was meant to go down with a few mates on sunday.

is this an official cruise or invent your own?

hahah if we r heading down to apollo bay we can pretty much go to Adelaide  jk, how far is adelaide from apollo bay and wats left of the 12 apostles is at Apollo bay right?

gonna nead a crap load of fuel for this trip if ur coming from SE suburbs

yep, lets go to adelaide, what the f_ck we going to do there mate? lol

We can just go to lorne, I dont think it would be such a bad idea. We can see on the day.

The 12 apostles are actualy near port cambell. looking on a map I would guess that they are about 1 hour from apollo bay

Someone doesn't drive much

Apollo Bay is only about 1/6th of the coastal route to Adelaide. You are much better off going through Ballarat, for the shortest drive to Adelaide, let us know when you get back

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
