i previously organised a hill's run a while back and from the feedback of those who attended was that it was good - nice straights to opne up the car and great corners (ideal for skylines). Having said this, reason why i think there hasnt been a cruise lately is due simply to the weather. Having said that, im going to do another one in the near future.

I havent been out in ages, think its time i cleaned the 33 and came out to play again. B)

Was at victor just the weekend gone... alot of low cloud up there all weekend so got a bit hard to see but there wasnt one cop there and back. Only noticed one actually at victor. Prob cos of the weather.

I love the food up there.... mmmm....

Im reasonably new to the forums, got meself a Stagea wagon with attessa 4wd and rb25det. I ride thru the hills every weekend on my Fireblade, and in 8yrs of riding have never been picked up for speeding or any traffic offence. The cops are understanding, as long as you drive / ride reasonably safely.

Recommendations would be; start at a localised area for forum members like Greenhill Rd, head up thru greenhill rd into the hills, head into mt barker, detour off via Mylor and Cherry gardens to Clarendon, speed thru to Strathalybyn via Meadows and Maccelsfield, head back thru Ashbourne and down towards Goolwa, take the Goolwa to Vt Harbor road, turn off when nearing Victa and take the road into Myponga, down to Yankalilla, and then head off to Delemere (towards Rapid Bay), and take the (very fast) Delemer road into Victor Harbour.

Tha'd be around a full tank initself, and a tiring time, so stop for the pub lunch and make your way back home!

I do it all the time (ie most weekends) from and back to Clarendon, racking up between 200-340kms on the Fireblade.

I'll be in!!

Sounds like a plan bwilkeson, Does anyone have any ideas on what day? Whats the wether like this Sunday? Think its clearing on Saturday.

Keen are you? hehehehe, must have whetted your appetite! Dont blame you, Im know how 'itchy' I get after a couple of weeks when I havent been able to get out for a good hills ride. Need to brush out those cobwebs every now and then.

This saturday is intermittent rain, although sunday morning is meant to be clear, with showers rolling thru in the afternoon.

Brendan

You could say that! I live in the hills, so it doesn't take long to blow out the old cobwebs

Hills eh? Lucky lucky.... Im 5mins away from Clarendon in the Woodcroft / Morphett Vale area, so I do the run from clarendon thru strath area most weekends (on the bike).

If you want to organise it for more than a couple of people, then i suggest you plan little further ahead than this weekend, although if you want to scout the route go for it.

Plus the Autosalon is on this weekend, it's all wank i know, but i think i'll have to go check it out, so don't make choose, it's not fair, just don't do it to me!

Thats right - the word needs to be spread for a few weeks and plans properly arranged. I was just mentioning a good route, lots of twisties but also a fair share of fast straights, plus a bit of distance, and still conforms around the pub lunch at Victor.

Mind you, Im planning on taking the 'blade out this sunday morning, as I just havent had much of a chance in the past 2.5months (ie sunny weekdays, wet weekends! doh!).

When a date is set and people are ready for it, then defintaley lets have a meet up and a run.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
