A good point you raised SS8_Gohan!

Personally, my skyline is my only car, I don't want to thrash it around a track that much cause its all I have.

I have tried drag racing @ Calder Park [diff. car] and it wasn't much fun to be honest, I prefer to watch. I also raced at a club sprint event @ Sandown - which was heaps of fun but a lot of stress on the car [again diff. car]. For me a friendly race [up to speed limit of course] @ the traffic lights is much more fun...

Being a techhead I am always curious to know how fast something is, how it works, how much power it has etc...its in my nature. Though I won't be doing any major mods on my 34, I will have a little play around ; ) with the car that is!

Hey I live just up the road in armadale, we should hook up and go for a cruise.

As for ATP I highly recomend them. The have worked on all my turbo cars. They specialise in building turbos however if you are serious about performance they will be willing to help you as they have many conections in the field. ie the exhaust on their dagr gsr is mainly coustom fabricated up the road. I recently blew the turbo on DrDrifts old car (shut up sam I know it was too lean) and they built me a nice turbo for a good price. All the work done is of a high quality and nothing is over looked. Some of there achivments are a twin turbo 5 series BMW which was very neat and tidy.

Oh well good luck

Adam

Hey guys I am also sort of near ATP (about 10mins), I just got them to high-flowed my turbo. They machined 6mm out of the turbo housing and replaced the two stock turbines with Sera turbines. I think they were Sera anyway … well they are frickin huge compared to the stock ones and I am told my car should make 250rwkw’s now no worries.

I also just ordered a Trust Cooler from Japan and the engine is currently being built. My car is down at ProPaintworks getting a re-spray and hopefully in about 10days the car will be at Race Pace getting tuned. If you guys go on a cruise I would love to meet up with you all...

Ait,

i think he means - Sierra.

If so, and depending on what compressor wheel the turbo has, it should be able to flow quite well giving good power gains while still being streetable.

if u don't mind me asking, how much did u pay for the hi-flow dude?

what turbo did u use for the hi-flow operation?

ATP is pretty good. They did my turbo a few months back and I was more than satisfied! To my surprise, it enhances my fuel economy, too!

But all the figure that they quote you in terms of power capability, you gotta remember that other parts are needed to get there! Sure the turbo can hold up to 1.5 bar of boost, but my internals would be all over the place by then... ;)

By the way, I'd really love to meet up with an R34 owner. I hardly found a nice one these days... I met one around Box Hill, riced up black GTt and all. But when I tried to greet him he gave that look in his face and looked else where as if I'm damn ugly he doesn't wanna see me. Well, maybe I'm ugly... ;)

yeah, I have seen the booze bus underneath the Sth Eastern fwy bridge on waverley rd, sneaky p****s, and the "hwy" patrol car sits on the other side [nature strip] facing east to get the speeders coming round the corner! [not me ]

Yeah, a week or so ago I saw a couple of cars left at the scene after the booze bus packed up and went. I presume they were caught past the alcohol limit. Shite, that area up waverly road towards Darling Road, it's riddled with radar cars too. The sneaky bastards park inside one of those many small lanes as you drive past and to think some idiot in an M3 over took me on that 60 zone by cutting onto the opposite lane. Rich people have alot of money to pay fines. :D

Man what a hot day! My car felt reaaaallly sluggish!

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me

    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
