Ladies/Gents,

I'm going to be pulling my car back to stock, and selling it as such (not much interest in a very modified car these days).

As such, I'll be selling the bits and pieces in my car (and will potentially look at stock parts as a part trade!).

Seeing as there's a lot of interest on this forum for building up a tough RB25/30 package, I thought I'd offer you all a chance to buy a complete package...

The motor has been built and tuned at Racepace motorsport, and produces a very reliable 320rwkw on pump gas @ 16psi racepace (352kw on Autosalon dyno).

It's pretty much a drop in replacement for your existing motor, and saves you the trouble of having your car off the road for a few months whilst you're having an engine built up (at a much higher cost!).

Package includes:

Engine

Top End

- RB25DET i6 24valve twin cam head (freshly rebuilt)

- Skyline GTR Cams

- Skyline GTR Valve springs

- Modified oiling system restricting flow to the head.

- Tomei 1.2mm metal head gasket

Bottom End

- RB30 3.0 litre turbo bottom end

- JE Forged Pistons (Dished) - HPC Coated

- Shot peened, crack tested, and strengthened rods

- Balanced & machined crank

- Blueprinted & balanced during assembly

- GTR Oil & Water pump

- Tomei Rod Bolts

- enlarged baffled Sump

Turbo, ECU & Fuel

- Trust Hybrid Turbo (T04R front wheel, back cut t66 rear, 360deg thrust bearing)

- Trust 45mm External WasteGate

- Trust Custom Tubular Exhaust Manifold

- Apexi PowerFC ECU + Hand Controller

- 16psi boost.

- Z32 300zx Air Flow Meter

- Aftermarket Jap 550cc Injectors (unknown brand)

Ancilleries

- 3" high flow cat, and a 3 1/2" trust system up to the turbo

- External 45mm Seperate pipe on the Wastegate into the exhaust just before the cat.

- Oil/Air Seperator with return line to the sump.

So pretty much everything you need to turn a stockish car into a weapon.

I'm accepting offers around the 14k mark (street value for this to do yourself would be closer to 25-30k).

As I have to replace this motor with a stocker, I'll accept a stock motor/turbo/etc as part payment if the motor is in good condition - in which case, you can have it for $11800ono. SOLD

Anyone who has built an RB25/30 will tell you of the troubles they have fixing finiky problems during the build process. With this, you save yourself all that trouble, and get a complete "drop in" working package.

I can provide a dyno run for anyone interested, and am happy to show the motor running (as it's currently in my car). This motor makes more power than a stock R33 at 3000rpm, by 4000 rpm makes in excess of 200rwkw, and has in excess of 300rwkw for about 2500rpm - so is an extremely tractable motor.

Redline is 7500rpm and makes good power right up till it hits the limiter.

Other Parts

R33 GTR Seats. These are in perfect condition. $850ono. SOLD

Cusco 4.11 LSD Perfect upgrade for a car making good power - this is very responsive, and puts the power down well$800ono. or $700 with swap for standard.

Whiteline Suspension Package Includes Bilstein Shocks & Whiteline Progressive Rate Springs$700ono. Note LEGAL HEIGHT!. SOLD

Blitz 4" front mount intercooler including all piping required to mount up to factory plenum. $1000ono or $900 plus factory intercooler + piping.

17" Lightweight Jim Head Racing rims (17x8 front, 17x9 rear) including tyres 255 rear/235 front - Falken Azenis ST115). These are in good nick but have scratches on some of the rims $1100ono or $950 with swap for factory 16" rims/tyres (if in good condition).

R33 GTR 4 Piston Brembo Calipers/Rotors (front) with EBC Greenstuff Pads Plenty of meat left on the pads & rotors.. $1650ono. or $1300 plus swap for factory brakes.

Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller In near perfect condition. $600ono.

Note that these parts are all on the car, so they will be taken off the car once purchased.

Any questions - let me know. I might be willing to separate the motor if there is enough interest.

Cheers,

matt

LSD Age/Condtion - Not sure - came with the car, but condition is fine AFAIK without taking it off the car.

Munna - Replied!

LSD age / condition ?

  • 1 month later...

Seats are for sale again as buyer has dissappeared.

Anyone interested can have the brembo's for $1300 swap with the factory rotors...

matt

Scooby - You have mail.

FYI - The seats include rails. They're a straight swap for the factory seats, and can be taken in/out with just a couple of bolts.

    • So..... it's going to be a heater hose or other coolant hose at the rear of the head/plenum. Or it's going to be one of the welch plugs on the back of the motor, which is a motor out thing to fix.
    • The oil pressure sensor for logging, does it happen to be the one that was slowly breaking out of the oil block? If it is,I would be ignoring your logs. You had a leak at the sensor which would mean it can't read accurately. It's a small hole at the sensor, and you had a small hole just before it, meaning you could have lost significant pressure reading.   As for brakes, if it's just fluid getting old, you won't necessarily end up with air sitting in the line. Bleed a shit tonne of fluid through so you effectively replace it and go again. Oh and, pay close attention to the pressure gauge while on track!
    • I don't know it is due to that. It could just be due to load on track being more than a dyno. But it would be nice to rule it out. We're talking a fraction of a second of pulling ~1 degree of timing. So it's not a lot, but I'd rather it be 0... Thicker oil isn't really a "bandaid" if it's oil that is going to run at 125C, is it? It will be thicker at 100 and thus at 125, where the 40 weight may not be as thick as one may like for that use. I already have a big pump that has been ported. They (They in this instance being the guy that built my heads) port them so they flow more at lower RPM but have a bypass spring that I believe is ~70psi. I have seen 70psi of oil pressure up top in the past, before I knew I had this leak. I have a 25 row oil cooler that takes up all the space in the driver side guard. It is interesting that GM themselves recommend 0-30 oil for their Vette applications. Unless you take it to the track where the official word is to put 20-50w oil in there, then take that back out after your track day is done and return to 0-30.
    • Nice, looks great. Nice work getting the factory parts also. Never know when you'll need them.
    • Thanks @jtha7 I will have a look around tomorrow but it is a prick of a spot. These are some photos i tried taking
