Hello everyone at skylinesaustralia.com :P

I'm a 21 year old guy (philip) from Stockholm, Sweden - home of GiS and Ghostrider.

Anyway - I'm going to Sydney (and hopefully a lot of other places around australia)

and figured, since I've grew to become one of Zatzy.com´s

"filmographers", I might bring my camera to check out what's

going on downunder...

So what's up with this thread then... ?

Well, Since I basicly don't know anyone that's connected to legal

(or illegal for that matter) streetracing/racing @ strip I ended up

here - asking for your help.

If you know of any car fairs, shows, cruises, races etc please

send me a PM. It'd be fun to show off some skylines, as there's only

about 5 or 6 of them in Sweden.

Zatzy.com sports 11 000 members, most of which love streetracing

and modified/tuned cars more than anything else.

So if you own, or know, cars that you think might be of interest

for me to film please send me a PM - preferably adding a link or

pictures of the car(s) ...

I'll touch down in Sydney January 27th and stick around Australia

for about ~100 days - till the middle of may anyway.

All answers, mails, ICQ messages, PM's are greatly apreciated :wavey:

If you feel like checking out some of my previous footage follow

the links below... you'll need divX 5.02 (or later) to see them.

Got an adress there... ?

I've never been to Sydney before, treat me like a total newbie (at least Australia-geography-wise) :bahaha:

I liked the last part of your post btw... :P

I hope you're right

dont pay out sweden, they have produced many fine punk rock products, MILLENCOLIN, and NO FUN AT ALL, just to mention a couple.

Must'nt forget GiS and Ghostrider there :)

So far I've yet to see some other country's streetracers pull something of that of the above movies' magnitute off...

I take only note on serious posts here anyway, so no worries Boxhead.

Anyway, I'd still like to get some more info - are there any "official"

streetracing organisation? In Stockholm, there's at least two.

Gaasa i Täby and Cityrace. (http://www.cityrace.nu/)

Cityrace have invited me to make movies for them this summer.

Last august they sealed off one of the main streets in stockholm

and ran races there. Police not too happy about it though

Here're some movies of what I hope to capture on film... I dunno

what to expect of Sydney streetracers so I might be grasping into

thin air.

http://213.114.235.165/~johi/cityrace-city.mpg @ Sveavägen (A few 100 meters from the city core)

http://213.114.235.165/~johi/Cityrace3.mpg @ Valhallavägen (mentioned above)

Both videos above are filmed in Central Stockholm.

The server they're at might be slow as a ****ing donkey at times

and the editing isn't much to horray about either - that's why I

entered the "official" filmographer JoHi's realm to stir some shit up

and get some kick-ass streetracing movies out there.

Enjoy.

Those of you, who feel that you or your friends have cars out

of the ordinary to show off, are still more than welcome to send me

a PM. Pics are apreciated... :(

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
