Gtr Injector Lag Time

hey guys does anybody know what injector lag time you enter in a power fc for the use of gtr injectors in a rb20det

rb20 injectors have a lag time of .88ms, rb26 have .73 so you'd be putting in -.14 or -.16 if you can put negatives in (never tried)

For some reason the AP Engineering RB20DET PFC default lag time has been set the same as the GTR injectors. That being .772ms.

So don't change a thing.

so when i put my gtr injectors in and my ap engineering power fc in i can simply just change the duty cylce on them to equal what the standard ones do now so that i can drive it to the tuner?

Thats right.. I can't remember the exact calc.

270/444cc rings a bell.

It may need a little tweaking, jump in to the sensor check menu and ensure your O2 sensor is flicking back and fourth. If its hanging around rich, adjust the calc to suit. I'm not 100% sure if the GTR injectors are indeed 444cc or the rb20's are 270cc. I've read from a few places the RB20's are actually 260cc's.

Either way it will run with the above calc.

Find out if the tuner is going to go over the whole map or leave the correct values in and simply tweak.

When leaving in the correction values you tend to run out of adjustment when making much more power, + it means you don't get the benifit of tweaking light load afr's and picking up fuel economy.

So ensure he removes the correction values and works over the whole map, that is unless the tune is just a tidy up and only costing you 1hr worth of dyno time.

how long would you say it would take a dyno guy to tune my 32 with new poncams and power fc and gtr injectors? 2 or 3 hrs you think?

Depends what he does.. If he works on all the light load etc. Then yes.. a good 2-3hrs for a nice tune.
