Hume Smash in Lansvale resprayed mine. Their job blew me away... Try as you might, you can't pick the difference! Their detailing was fantastic on my car. Unsure of prices as mine was an insurance job, but I think they'd be able to do a group buy.

24-26 Hollywood Drive

Lansvale NSW

97276788

Ask for Mick or Dennis.

The pic is from the day i picked it up. :D

I'm happy to talk to a workshop about a group buy, so far

* myself - front

* ARKAD - front

* brendanf - front

* XrSiSt - front

* tlai909 - skirts and rear

* brody - front, skirts, quarter panels

* kabab?

have expressed interest.

Workshops mentioned are:

* Jetspeed in Moorebank

* Nutec in Yennora

* [ryan]'s uncle

* Jerry @ Vision in Artarmon

* Prestige

* Jetcolour

* Hume Smash in Lansvale

I guess timeframe is 3-6 weeks, I'll start getting in contact with workshops on Tue. If anyone has a contact at one of the shops, can you please volunteer to contact them to ensure we have the best prices. So far, 5 front bars, 2 skirts and a rear.

Anyone else interested

Might want to check in with Hillsmotor sport to see if they'll do some paint. Im pretty sure Mark has a spray shop somewhere but not sure if its public or if he has the time etc, still, can't hurt asking.

If they can spray anywhere near the rest of the work they do, im sure every1 will be more than impressed.

i checked out the place i am was talking about the where happy to fix my **** up :P but they weren't to keen on fitting the body kit..

I don't think we will get a huge discount of this job because every single bar is different.

Anyway i am going to investigate with vision now..

I went to see my uncle today and it's not that easy.

For a proper job he has to sand or fill in gaps if there is any. This will vary from person to person.

Price varies on the colour. If it's a metallic colour it will cost more compared to a solid colour.

Also it will vary from r32/33 or aftermarket kits.

Hey Duncan,

Just spoke to a shop that I know, have seen his work and it is very good.

He said that it would vary from car to car also, which might make things easier in a way.

Some rough prices he gave me if we can get him 5 to 10 cars to do are as follows;

My car (full respray of front & rear bar and side skirts plus touch up): $600 approx.

Front bar Remove Spray and Fit: $300 approx

Respreay and touch up (Front bar still on car): $130 approx

Brush touch up (I think it was the whole car): $100 approx

Call me on 0414 195 896.

Dan.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
