Cheapest would be to buy direct from Japan :)

If you want it installed then just about any competent workshop can do it as Apexi parts are bolt-on's barr the stuff that needs tuning. But even PFC has base maps to get you from workshop to the tuners.

I don't think BEL workshop has a dyno.

What are you getting? Probably best to get a price from BEL as their prices usually includes fitting/installation.

Bel are very good. there price doesnt only include the parts, it includes labour, full tuning (done in 50rpm increments), and part. Also they offer warrenty. As well as you just drive in - drive out.

They are located in Homebush and are recommended. Although they dont have a dyno (as yet) this guy had his car dynoed after bel had tuned the power fc and they were lucky to pull 5-10hp more out of it. Its nice to have it on a fancy sheet. but the real dyno should be done on the street in real situations. not simulated.

i suppose if you could always buy the powerfc through.. (nengun) then install yourself, and then get it tuned by ...(Bel) they charge $200 for full tune of PowerFC. but of cause u wont have the parts warrente because it wasnt installed and fitted by Apexi Excel Shop.

A dyno will also show you any problems that you have.

Road tune will not.

If I was to go to BEL and got a tune, I'd whack it on the dyno just to make sure everything was a-ok.

Do they use a A/F meter when road tuning?

i've heard rumours that there will be a new 'online' shop that will be able to offer cheaper jap performance parts comparable to Nengun with quick turn around time

You hear all the rumours don't you Linus :)

I can get anyone a powerFC for $1600 shipped brand new (at the moment only). However, not the R32/R33 GTR cos Apexi are out of stock till March.

Isn't Apexi Excel shop only in USA?

I don't think it applies in Australia but correct me if I am wrong please. :)

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
