Oil On Plugs!

hey everyone

i just have a question i was helping a friend change there plugs on a SR20 and when i pulled the coil pack off 2 there was oil all round the bottom of the coil bout 10mm up the coil looked inside and there was oil all round the plug about a tea spoon (the small one) just sitting on top

just want to know is this a major problem (obviously a problem) and what causes this???

oh yeah sounds plausible didnt think of that at the time is there anything else that can cause it

Maybe just was a bit messy one time when topping up the oil? is it the plugs nearest the cap side?? Just a thought

na i thought that too but the plugs and cover have not been changed in three years and 120,000 km (i know i had to twist his arm to do it to)

so the coil cover has never been off since he owned it so it couldnt have happened that way
