well it looks like i will be able to make it. i've been able to move forward one of the interviews to this afternoon.

now i better get my sh1t ready tonight. if not, who wants to help bleed my brakes at the track? :(

BB,

Good news, I happy to push the brake pedal for you if needed.

All lit looks like we will have 5 on the day.

Myself, BB, AZZR32, yogi and Ralph (S15 Friend).

Lets have some fun, reguardless of the weather!

not long to go now. it looks like i may be able to get done the stuff i need to do tonight. If not, I may take you up on that offer paul :(

what time is scrutineering?

well i just finished what i wanted to do. I've bled the brakes. checked the oil etc and even installed my new castor rods. I don't have time for a wheel allignment so i just did it by eye/feel. I think the castor may not be quite even, but i did measure them pretty accurately. It feels heaps better. much sharper turn in, and the wheel self centres quite aggressively. steering is quite a bit heavier, but it's certainly bareable.

hmm, i had better get some sleep, i may be a little late fellas (9:30 ish) apparently there is no scrutineering though so it shouldn't be a problem.

see you boys at the track!

WTF I thought I heard Skylines today while I was at work but I couldn't figure out why. I work right near Eastern Creek and went outside and thought I heard a GTR, then I heard more of them and so I was wondering what was going on. Glad I'm not imagining things...

Im interested in the 29th - is anyone going to that one???

It will be my first time on the Eastern Creek track, from the map on the website it looks like a lot of fun

Can you apply for the licence at the track ?

I had a mate go today, in his Camaro... did you guys see it? :(

Anyway hopefully it was a good day, I heard that an Evo8 rolled it?

yeah i saw it. black one. looked nice as i went past it hehe :(

yeah a few cars were coming off. track was pretty green after the rain earlier in the week.

Except for Yogi's little incidednt in the first 5 min, it was a good day (Just goes to show crap tyres have no place on a race track). Accidents and hold ups did make for a long day and not enough drive time in my mind, but again thats the worst thing about these days, they take their time to clean the track after incidents and with that many race team there are bound to be a few spin off's.

No pics and no lap times but Im sure every had a great time. I think we got ralph hooked on drive days as well.

So I take it you guys had more fun than all other Sydneysiders on Saturday.

N1GTR,,,you can sign up on the day but it'd a little trickie. The ARDC and CAMs don't like us doing it and I can't guarantee you'll be allowed. Why not download the form from cams and send it in. Theres still time buddy.

I'm up for the 29th,EC diffs now in,gearbox is repaired and rear suspension has been freshened up.

Neil.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
