Big Rizza
Is there usually that much dif between the STI and non-STi? If so, then the only real performance Soobie is the STi WRX. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There is a reasonable difference between the two. For the current 2.0 litre models, the STi gets, amoungth other things: Bigger (laggier) Turbo Power uprated from 168kw to 195kw Torque uprated from 300Nm (@3600rpm) to 343Nm (@4000rpm) Higher Redline (8000rpm vs 7000rpm I think...) Stronger 6 speed manual (vs. WRX 5 speed) Bigger Brakes 5mm Wider wheelbase Front 15mm Wider wheelbase Rear 15mm Longer wheelbase Lower, stiffer suspension Active Centre Differential (like the Lancer Evo) Limited Slip Front Differential Sticky Tyres I also heard that the engine internals are stronger in the STi than the standard WRX, and can take more power, which would make sense given the higher redline. I got this information out of Motor magazine, so don't hold me responsible if it's wrong! Corrections welcome.
