well that may be, but consider a plate like "DIABLO" will fetch a pretty penny, as the potential owner of such a car is likely to shell out $10K for plates (as a tiny percentage of the purchase price of the vehicle).

consider now the owner of a $30K R32GTR - that's 1/3 the price, or at the upper most $100K for a R34GTR - which is still 10% and big bikkies for the owner of a R34GTR.

plates are only worth what the buyer will pay... other than that they're worthless.

so are you saying he should just ask a shit load less, because you think people wont pay it? or, he could ask more, then someone can make him an offer, and he can choose to accept or reject...

I know some people will laugh it up but I put this up for my old man whose skills aren't the best when it comes to computers. He's in no rush to sell. We are just testing the waters to see what someone would pay. Ebay might be appropriate as the auction system would be suited to a sale such as this but this a large forum that I'm sure contains people who would like to grab a plate like that. I've heard stories of other plates going for large sums too. Thanks to the people who replied in a civil manner.
