Clutch Pedal... Shuddering

i need help. i was just driving around today and just before i got home i stopped for a little while. between there and home, i found that my clutch pedal seems to shudder when pushing in and releasing it. the car doesn't shudder or anything else. just the pedal itself.? do i need to change fluid or such drastic measures as changing clutch aswell?
