Nah, we were down south, it was nice to be invited but I'd have felt a bit strange rocking up to a wedding in my SAU cap:D

I'm sure we'll here all about it in a couple days. Hope she is feeling OK after her accident.

Yea , I have to work on John about that.

Will see if there is an arvo session as well.

If not we might just have to run overtime . Hehehe

If I am instructing ( and atm I am ) we will be starting early ( 8 am ) to maximise track time.

Will have to post closer to the date a few details , ie pressures, loose crap etc.

Cheers

Hehe, knowing her she'd have been to drunk to have much excitement in the bedroom:D

See'ya:burnout:

Getting drunk and performing is not a female problem.

In fact quite the opposite from my experiences.

Trick is for you to remain near sober.

Ken,

Any advice you can give us would help, we're all pretty new to this, even though we all think we're gods gift:D

See'ya:burnout:

we talking bout women or driving ??

First one , never have , never will.

Second one , some idea but still a lot to learn. At least with the 2 nd one , the goalposts don't keep moving.

There are heaps of things I want to do to the car before the MC day, but due to my holiday funds are tight.

See'ya:burnout:

Heaps of vthings ??

Like what apart from make sure the brakes , cooling system and tyre pressures are up to scratch.

Am not interested in the fastest time cos

A , I could prolly beat you

B I could prolly beat you in your own car

C I don't want you to have no excuses when everybody else beats you.

Trick is to forget every body elses time and just work on decreasing YOUR laptime a liitle every time you try it.

Cheers

Ken,

No I'm not worried about power etc, or beating anyone, but my suspension setup is dreadful at the moment, and I really need it looked at. I will try Wilkinson out and see if they can fix it.

See'ya:burnout:

If it's got the usual Jap rockhards in it , he won't be able to do much. Maybe change springs.

Trick is to get some good King Springs and adjustable Bilsteins or Koni's new for about what everyone charges for 2 nd hand Teins or similar.

Cheers

Ken

    • I mean I agree. I've seemingly never had issues and I have RS4's in the rain, but I drive pretty slow in the rain, and I commute around on the street and pretty much never push it. But it's not like you're going to uncontrollably slide off the street with them in the rain. At least here in Aus. And I say this before I drive to Tassie in Winter. AS above, the term "Semi" is a bit of a misnomer. The ContiSportContact7 is also a "Semi" or a "UHP" tyre. It's the same category as an AD09 in any case.
    • These are not semis. None of the tyres in that comparo are semis. They are UHP tyres. Perfectly streetable. I'm on my second set of AD09, after using a couple of sets of AD08R. On the street. Every day. I get 15-20 thousand km out of them, which is perfectly acceptable. They are a really nice tyre to drive on. I have few, if any, complaints.
    • You'd hope, if it came from ACS, that it wouldn't be that.
    • Or the brand new throwout may be unhappy...
    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
