hmmm im having traction probs and my car well shouldnt be powerful enough to be spending most of my drive to work this morning sideways!

Is it my tyres being square - i mean ive got 90% tread on them but it must be the eggs i guess?

Literally i lost traction 4 times on the way to work - once around a corner which was fun cos this arsehole was tailgating me and i was taking off slow cos of the wet roads so i thought - u wanna see what happens when i put my foot down? well here we go wanker - hehe and there was a bit of drifting n fishtailing after that - lets just say he backed off pretty quick specially when it happened again on the take off from the lights but i wasnt being stupid that time. Yes even when i tried to take off really slowly the 4th time not far from work the back wheels were spinning and the car was going sideways - so i dont know - im guessing its the tyres? but its not like i still dont have grip.

i have an auto - i mean the corner was delibrate to get arsehole a fright behind me n off my tail. But the other three times was when i was taking off and i was trying to do it slowly but it just kept spining the tyres.

Morning - most of us WA arent even outta bed yet well its 9am so they should be.

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
