must admit i hate neons - apart from the one alex has lighting up his skyline sign thats cool - but otherwise i think they cheapen the car - meant for hyundais!

I dont really like the way that light is at the moment. It's a bit too neon.

Im gonna open it back up and fix it so that only the actual letters light up. stay tuned

take it off the car and then gently pry apart using a heat gun or a hair dryer (or put in front of the heater)

re: neons, some wiring is required to do switches etc, but unless you're a moron, it aint hard.

yeah but once ive done that (wiring the neons etc) how i get it back on? coz the heat gun would make it come apart so will it stick again?

bambam,

the glue in the middle is ****ing sticky and the clear plastic is pretty brittle.

you just have to be REALLY patient with it, otherwise you'll snap the plastic.

one thing you could do is paint the glass so only the wording is transparent? so when the neon lights up u can only see the words?

the glue is like chewing gum.

best to heat it back up to get it back together properly.

gonna do something like that, but I dont want to see the paint.

I plan to try using foil to make the internal surfaces reflective.

need to pull lining off from around the lock. couple of plugs.

then there is a series of two (or three?) bolts which go out of the plastic panel and through the boot-skin. I think they're about 8mm (maybe 10s).

once theyre undone comes right off.

then BE GENTLE!
