yeah i probably wont actually get the SAFC II installed and tuned til the FMIC goes in ;) Do it all at once!! :)

Looks like all my friends are getting "tightarse Xmas" this year ......*better start swiping some stationary before i leave today* Mum ..... here have a pair of scissors for Xmas .... and Dad heres a stapler ..... Mel you can have a highlighter :)

mexr .... you religous ... tell me to mind my own business if you like ... its just most of my family of JW's and dont celebrate it either ... so really i only have to buy for mum n dad. :)

Fane .... sounds serious :) ... you going to use it for track work?

you can still tune your engine much better with an safc mex.... :)

i can see it helping heaps because the NA relies on good tuning so much.... all your Air/Fuel mixtures can be perfect...tuned for all your mods like exhaust and pod and shit.... as you get more you can forward the timing etc etc.... :) i can see it helping...

haha going to buy a big arse turbo Fane? Nah well mines auto so i cant have over 300rwhp anyway without going and replacing transmission with a hoity toity jap one .... which really aint worth it .... i just want a reasonably quick fun car .... but i just couldnt spend a huge amount of money on it - it would seriously make me cry the day you go to sell it and you've spent $10K in mods and only get $9k for the car haha :)

nah i wanna buy a play toy and make my GTST daily driver .... i so want an ferrari red R32 GTR .... oh yeaaaah!

    • I mean I agree. I've seemingly never had issues and I have RS4's in the rain, but I drive pretty slow in the rain, and I commute around on the street and pretty much never push it. But it's not like you're going to uncontrollably slide off the street with them in the rain. At least here in Aus. And I say this before I drive to Tassie in Winter. AS above, the term "Semi" is a bit of a misnomer. The ContiSportContact7 is also a "Semi" or a "UHP" tyre. It's the same category as an AD09 in any case.
    • These are not semis. None of the tyres in that comparo are semis. They are UHP tyres. Perfectly streetable. I'm on my second set of AD09, after using a couple of sets of AD08R. On the street. Every day. I get 15-20 thousand km out of them, which is perfectly acceptable. They are a really nice tyre to drive on. I have few, if any, complaints.
    • You'd hope, if it came from ACS, that it wouldn't be that.
    • Or the brand new throwout may be unhappy...
    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
