As the title suggests.

I know this one has been done to death.But.Can any1 suggest a good street legal exhausts, for nsw roads (90db limit).

There are many threads arround with talk on street legal exhausts that i have came accross but none seem to speak of the cold hard facts.

BTW i was at the engineers today and came up with 97db (failed :) ).

With a hks twin dump into what i belive to be 2.75'' to cat.Cat 2.75'' and a 3'' hot dog/muffler and 3'' back exhaust to with cannon muffler.

(Though an exhaust shop on inspection did say it looked like it was 3.5'' catback).

I eneded up changing all engine performance mods bar fpr, exhaust, fmic and gtr pump.

The car still has to go down to get an emissions test to see if the intercooler seveerly alters the emissions.

He also said to me that a silencer is not regarded as legal unless it is spot welded into place.Go figure.

Am i better off throwing in another hot dog/muffler or would my money be better spent on.

1.Exhaust valve controller.

2.New exhaust sys Jap style

3.New exhaust from a local exhaust shop.

4.Fitting another muffler mid way and hope for the best so i will have 3 inc the rear muffler/cannon.

5.Or just fitting a stock system passing the db test and then throwing the sporty back on.

:D

I fitted a proper rear muffler and a resonator.

Aftermarket manifold, aftermarket dump, hi flow cat, aftermarket resonator, trust muffler.

Bobs yer uncle.

Unless you want a loud car, in which case just put the stock back on for engineers.

If you want to keep your rear muffler fit the quietest biggest most high flowing middle muffler you can find.. $100 installed or less - that'll keep the note just not as loud (I like the sounds you get from a big big middle muffler and cannon style rear).
