Ok so i got a highmount TD-06 set up on my R32 and was jsut wondering if anyone else had the same turbo, what mods do they have and what is the turbo good for at the end of the day.

With the right mods to the Rb20 what do you recon the over all figure i could get out of it without spending thousands on a complete rebuild and what rpm are you making boost???

Cheers B

i have one, but ive got a blown motor, so havent dynoed it, best person to talk to is ROY, they are a great turbo for the rb20 and can make aroung 250rwkw with supporting mods. im hoping to get as close to 300rwkw with mine, but i have a worked engine. I may end up geting T67 to replace my TD06.

have currently bolted one to a rb20 with an 8cm rear housing....in terms of mods, nothing major just front mount pod exhaust made 230rwkw and actually ran 12.2 last night at WSID (congrats tim)..... my old setup was rb25 with cams etc etc made 265rwkw with a 12cm rear housing......in all truth to see a 20g reach 300rwkw is a big task....however the 25g/t67 will see you well over 300rwkw, however on a rb20 you'll lose alot down low.

What really freaked me out was when we put a 700hp garrett gt turbo on a rb20 with a stock motor with frount mount and exhaust and boost, it made 266rwkw!!

    • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
