Ah, you can't beat leather. it's just more sensual and makes the car look so much more classy. the only problem is when i leave the sunroof coves open and the leather gets really hot

Yah, my wife has got leather seats in the Daewoo Nubira; damn hot in the Adelaide summer, I can see them cracking over time.

I like the cloth seats in my Stagea, nice and comfy....

AlexCim - mate, wagon looks nice and all that, but have a look at the (dodgy) photo in my gallery; I reckon the side skirts missing from your car just really top off the alround sweet look of the white Stagea.

I wonder if they are hard to come across?

my car came with them, but they were dodgy and kept falling off. i had to get the plastic welder to fix them on. they don't look too hard, maybe check out 4 door skyline ones see if they fit, it's the same wheel base

Certainly mate, i reckon my car is missing the wow factor in looks.

I really love the DAYZ boykit and thats what id want, but i am not one to REALLY care about looks. If my car looks even less sporty, it doesnt really bother me because id prefer as little attention as possible (think, p plater, turbo import, victorian (worst) police etc)

Also, my priorities are not in looks, id rather spend that 1.5k id spend on a kit and buy a FMIC, or turbo or something, im sure you understand.

But, all in good time, one day, a good deal will pop up for me, and then ill take it :D

Totally understand - Im not into looks either, just the 'go' factor. Lucky the car came as is (from CoolPC in Qld). Ive just now updated my gallery with better photos, albeit taken by CoolPC last year.

I think if you were to go lowering the vehicle, add some skirts and it'd look mean as! :D

I wanted leather and sunroof... but I couldnt fit in the sunroof fitted ones and they were the only ones with leather that I saw. :D

Sucks being tall. :)

Prank - how tall are you?? Im 6ft8in, or 201cm (door height), my Stagea has cloth seats and twin sunroof. I fit, barely, but I do fit.

Im still probably going to have the seat rails placed backwards as far as possible, making the Stagea a '3seater' whilst Im the sole occupant. When the kids are in the back (wife is 6months preggy and we've got a 2yr old lad) I'll just have to have the drivers seat as standard.

My head does sort of hit the sunroof area, with the seat all the way back, low down, and angled back a fair bit. But its comfortable enough - fact is Im in my dream car, and it looks wicked-as and goes damn well!

Brendan :D

If you wanted leather without the extra weight of the electric seat motors then for about $2000 you could get a custom inside leather trim fitted to seats and everywhere you wanted, but I think everyone would rather spend that sort of money on performance upgrades, I know I would. As for the sun roofs they are great, mainly use the front one in the afternoon or night.

Sunroof is awesome, my little 2yr old loves the rear sunroof!

I use my front one all the time..... B)

Emanuelt, the stagea handbook you asked me about is the same as what is currently on ebay for $49.50 plus postage. It aint that bad, probably worth having. Would like a Haines manual though.

Well for my purposes, sunroof = kg's

kg = slower

slower = already too slow :(

I will compensate. I remember when i was looking through the stagea parts list at nissan spare parts, stageas actually had SOOO many options. There was litterally 100's of part numbers for options.

I wont lie though, i did want the twin sunroofs, they are a COOL idea.

How good is the Stagea workshop manual?

Is it worth to buy it? Like, does it explain how remove all parts and how to put em back. Like, engine, interior etc etc??

I'm pretty sure what he was referring to was the OWNERS manual ie not the workshop one. And the owners one probably doesn't have anything in it that would interest you (I have the original Japanese one still in the glove box...).

The Series 1 workshop manual isn't to hard to find (to buy) on the net, I still haven't found a series 2 one though, and the differences between the series 1 and 2 are starting to mount when I start looking into it in more detail... ie the reason I couldn't see the HICAS under you car the other day was that series 1's don't have it! (so the engine, turbo, intercooler, ecu, rear steering, etc etc are different between a 1 and 2 - they should have changed the model number!)

When I get them I'll know more but the hand book is just like the Jap one just in english.

As for the skyline workshop manual on the CD I am sure we can get at least all our engine info from it plus lots more.

I will make some copies, but it only cost $8 on ebay + postage.

    • Talking about deliveries  I have one on the way from MX5 Mania already, only for a little added noise really  Plus I'm waiting on Super Cheap for every oil, fluid, filter that goes in it, and some new plugs for it as well, because why not After that is all finished it's off to MX5 Mania for the ECUTEK, mainly because I want the rev match for when I'm racing to work or the local Coles shopping centre 🤪
    • Just for clarity, no adaptors are required for the front conversion. 350Z Brembos & rotors fit on S13/14/15 and R32/33 (GTS-t/R) by just drilling the bolt hole to 14mm (and using R34 GT-t/R caliper bolts as the 350Z ones are too long). R34 GT-t/GT-R will be full bolt on as they're already 14mm (however still requiring R34 GT-t/R caliper bolts).
    • The ATTKD and similar kits are a good thing for street and light track use like Dose is saying. I think they are good value as they replace everything.  Rob's suggestion of upgrading standard parts can absolutely work as these cars came with reasonable brakes, you just have to consider how all the parts add up if you end up doing brake lines, caliper rebuild, rotors as well. The problem with the 350z kits are the same....adapters look cheap but then depending on the caliper health you might still end up with having to do all those parts anyway.
    • Yeah just space it out if you need to, those shock bodies are way bigger than standard. The shock only acts as a shock on r series chassis so its exact location is not important
    • I don't know the answer with a 34, but for sure the standard bumper location is the limiting factor with a 32, that is where the larger diameter tyres I was trying to run were rubbing (noting I had already rolled the guard lip)
