frankxinyu Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 hi guys, as a newbie, i need some help here. im thinkin of buying a GTR R33 and got one in mind atm. can anyone tell me what kind of things should i check out b4 i purchase the car privately? any leagel documentations or anything like that at all coz its a import car?like a compliance plate or something? i am going to put the car on dyno and check out the engine. also, im gettin RACQ inspection as well just to see the history of the car( any accidents or anything) thanx heaps guys as this is the first time i ever buy any imports( my s15 is bought off Nissan). btw, the car is a 96 s2 GTR R33. its stock and has never been runnin more than 8 psi. ferni Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 Yep, you have to remember a GTR is a performance car, people don't buy them to put around under 3,000rpm, people buy them to drive fast, and have fun as with any sports car. Since your new to imports - don't belive any km readings, 99% of them are wound back, look at wear all over the car. Get a compression and leak down test done on the engine, and get it checked out by someone who knows GTR's back to front.
