Fuel Gauge Issues

Hi all,

Today i hopped in my car and drove to work, noticing that my fuel guage was showing half a tank...even though i had only filled up yesterday and hadn't driven very far since then. I watched it and it was bouncing around all over the place. I don't mean in small intervals either, i mean continuously between dead empty and dead full. Sometimes it would stay dead empty for a short time then gradually go up to full and vice versa.

Anyway does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or how i could fix it?? Oh yeah, its a 1995 S1.5 R33 GTST.

i had the same thing..

it was the fuel sender thingy which sits in the petrol tank. The sender thing is supposed to sit on a little bracket on the right hand side of the fuel tank, but it might of fallen off... if you have a look in the fuel tank you'll probably see it floating around. Its like a long tube thing.. You just need to stick it back on its bracket thingy

Yeah i might just put it back into unigroup cause i'm a bit paranoid about getting into the fuel tank, don't wanna go kaboom.
