Yeah Prank, it's who you think it is.

No luck today picking up my skyline, salesman didn't know anything about my car and the boss went on holidays to the snow.

The boss promised me he would pass all relevant information and paperwork to his salesman before he went away on the chance that today my car would be ready to register.

Another entry gets written on my webpage about this saga.

The salesman didn't even know where my car was. It would be interesting if my car has made the trip to the snow...

I've told a lot of people i'm getting the car and people have seen it being driven around with trade plates by the boss of this company.

I've taken a pic of the number of Ks the car had done when it arrived off Botany wharf at their workshop. Might have some words when I pick up the car if the Ks are significantly different.

I'll give you a call when I get word it's ready Prank.

JiMbO, it's not as bad as it sounds.

Its a young crew (owner is 24) and they don't seem to be very organised.

The problem is, he is trying to sell more cars than he can handle so a lot of the customers are having to wait.

My car and a couple of others he imported were kept for over a month by customs because they were "red flaged" or "red something-ed".

They arn't bad, they can't handle the work they have (they also do the compliance work). They make promises that they have no control over eg. I've heard "It will be here next week" about 4-5 times.

They have just had a bad trot with wiating for cars from the wharf (which is out of their direct control).

So do I.

I've asked Prank to come down with me when I pick up the car to make sure it isn't a lemon.

I haven't driven a turbo car before and i'm use to my 1.6l laser. I'm unsure how they should perform so i've asked someone who is local for some help.

Prank has been nice enough to give up his time to take my car for a fang around the streets of Manly... he seems like a very good bloke.

Maybe this week is the week I get my skyline... I hope so anyway.

BTW, what is tech support like? I graduate at the end of the year and am looking for a job as a programmer or similar.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
